It's the London I've known since I first came to study here in 1982, worked in from 1987 and have lived in over the years. Perhaps your London is different. London is so big and diverse that we have different experiences of it and, depending on our outlook, we interpret our experiences differently.

Wonderful! In 1992, I had an older colleague who’d worked on the Vic Line and told me about the atmospheric pressure under which they did their tunnelling, because of potential water ingress. Not something that would be done now.
