I should point out that in one photo, a character created by Michael Genhart is climbing a mountain of books in our bulletin made by the students featuring the character trait PERSEVERANCE. We have used the book Spanish is the language of my family for a few character traits this year.

Is it okay to say, I can't stand this book? It's creepy.

I promote all kinds of reading, but I don't have enough books for students to take more than one at a time. They can get one graphic novel, one gaming book, or one book from a series. Variety and sharing are important values, too.

My students were moved by the teacher making Bitsy a new chair. They talk about it every time Bitsy Bat comes up at our library.
