Sadly got turned around @ Chirripo (daily quota met, but it rained anyways!) but that meant an extra day at Corcovado. No tapirs but SO MANY MONKEYS. The friend I was w/ then just took her kids back 4 months ago and her guide was in shock we did it all alone (Leona>Sirena>Los Patos>La Palma). Do it!

It’s been like 30 years since I was there, but Younger Me didn’t find it TOOOOO difficult. From SJ, bussed to Chirripo then to PJ. Back then you didnt need a guide to accompany you in the park, which I believe is no longer the case. Some first timers I know visited PJ and Corc last year & loved it

I don’t have any concrete suggestions for either but I did mention to someone the other day how FA/FYL fills that Slave To The Traffic Light slot for Gizz

Next time you’re in the Northwest, you gotta have oysters right at the farm (Bellingham, between Seattle and Vancouver)

Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll rename it something edgy like Party X around 3:17am tomorrow

While it obviously won’t help with this batch, you could easily whip up your own champagne vinegar in a month or two for the next time you might need it

Just like they did with Lisbon in Barça!

If only I’d moved to Bellingham 8 years earlier…

Haven’t yet caught Billy but living right by the border, I had to give it a shot. Truth be told, I’ll be coming off Field of Vision, so I’d be a groggy mess anyways. I haven’t been to Roseland and it’s been years since I was last at the Commodore, but I don’t ever recall much bounce at all.

Same. But it’ll be super special for the ones that get in. Would’ve been nice if they’d have limited the request to one of the two shows. Oh well!

0/2 here as well. It was always going to be a bloodbath

It’s noticeable. They weren’t able to acknowledge Houston’s GK substitution until he was shown on screen (earlier, you could see him on the sideline waiting to come on). Not the end of the world by any means, but they’re certainly not setting a high bar.

Couldn’t agree more. The Gorge is so visually splendid but logistically a terrific pain in the A. I’ll take Seattle (or Vancouver since it’s even closer to Bellingham) 9 times out of 10

Not just the monorail. Lightrail, too (I’m pretty sure it’s actually all public transit). Just need to download the Kraken app and load in you ticket information.

Sad I missed him, too, but going to the Gorge two weekends in a row (he played the Friday after Gizz) is a tough ask when it’s 5 hours away. It’s a gorgeous venue but I wish he could’ve played in Seattle or Vancouver.

WestJet + Calgary = a personal Hell I don’t wish to repeat. Had a 2 hour pre-board delay + an additional 2 hour delay after boarding, causing us to miss a connection. They refused to pay for the rebooking. Lesson learned.

It’s such an excellent stadium and metro area to visit. Our first trip to The Seattle of the Midwest was for an away match a few years back and now we visit annually. Spectacular people, incredible food, and some great sites!
