I woke up to slight mist in Ashland and the temp was ~50 so I rushed out and uncovered my tomato plants!

They may never get the boat into production but the whole design process and discussion by very experienced sailors has very imformative.
I feel landlocked in Ashland area but it's a nice area to follow nature.

Covid wiped out the inventory of used sailboats, so I was starting to look at new boats. I've been closely following the design process of the Adventure 40 on "Attainable Adventure Cruising" whose goal was to build a no frills but very strong ocean going cruiser.

I think I dodged a bullet after years of planning for my retirement boat. I ended up with vision problems. Instead of buying my dream boat, I'm staying in the Siskiyous and refocusing on the Mtns...

Thank you! I would have missed this story without your article. I need to reread and see if I can subscribe to more Klamath news sources...

Seems like the only chance of a corruption cleanup will be after the next 4 years.

We had ash cloud/fog layer near my brothers house near Kailua-Kona. I'm wondering if he'll need an air filter for his house. Wildfire in the NW and volcanos on the Big Island. We all take our turns dealing with Mother Earth!

Not stormchasin those waves! I'll always remember sailing thru 30' (mast height?) waves and wondering if there was a ship lurking on the other side...

Is it more difficult to forecast the temps this week? I read that if clouds linger over an area longer than expected, the temps can be colder than expected. My outdoor thermometer is 7 degrees colder than the generic "Ashland" temperature.

The winchester dam information site posted the information. They will send a copy/pdf of the ODFW letter and detail order if you ask with the "Contact us" link on the web page.

Seems odd that winchesterdam.com is the only source reporting this. On 9/17/24, Debbie Colbert, the new Director at ODFW, sent the Winchester Water Control District, owners of the Winchester Dam on the North Umpqua River, a Notice of Noncompliance pertaining to August 2023 repairs of the dam.

Thx for this! Salmon Have Returned Above the Klamath River Dams. Now What? As the fish swim back to places they haven’t reached for more than a century, scientists will watch for signs of the watershed’s recovery. Revelator
