The term 'pedo' somehow holds enormous cultural power. We knew the Trump/Epstein thing but apparently 'teenage girl' and 'rape' seems to be less outrageous than whatever people think of as pedophilia. I get that it's also about Musk, but there is also a reframing of the crime happening.
