This book was published in 2017 and I think that's when I got it. Last night and today I worked in it for the first time.

He's so smol 🥺 just under 2 cinder blocks tall. And redoing these awful pavers is still my November project 🤞🏼I'm pretty sure they were a DIY special and wasn't done the right way 🙃 My reward? A SMOKER FOR THANKSGIVING BRISKET

Also I got these cheap watercolor pans at Five Below and the gold is my favorite of all the paint I have. Who knew. (It's the gold on the butterfly.)

One more photo, one more "srsly lady?"

One of my TL's load-bearing pets who must live forever 🥺

This is why people think GLP-1 is "cheating". Your weight is a reflection of you being a good or bad person, and you must suffer to become good.

I was able to hear an entire episode in my head based on just this. 15/10.

keeping up like

It's been rough in the posting mines but today we struck gold

it'd be cool if my brain could work for more than a couple hours before overheating and wanting a nap unreliable 1987 hardware smh

i say this every election year but i really hope people start thinking about it as a chance to *fire people* they don't like these people are your employees. you don't have to give them another term. FIRE THEM.

jfc what a disappointment.

getting the 16" laptop was worth it because i can actually use it as a laptop i can do work on

I'm a ruthless editor and it's entirely because of one of my senior year poli sci profs. Just zero patience for extra words and anything other than 100% clarity.

i missed all the pre-orders and hadn't gotten my invite so i thought about going to target when they open. woke up at 7, told paul it's fine i'll just wait and hope for the best. and then he drove me to target, waited in line with me, and i got one by 8:30 😂

Instructions unclear my dog is now their leader and holding us hostage for pupperoni

file under dudes rock

just remembered school starts again next wednesday 😩 one last sprint June through October and I'll be done i'm just so tired 😭

considering making an appointment with an immunologist to figure out wtf i'm allergic to because suddenly finding out i can't eat certain things is (1) getting old (2) probably an unsafe way to go about it tbh.

"I'm a international known talent!" lives rent-free in my head

Current status:

one of the worst things about hate is how boring it is

the implosion doc led me down a titan rabbit hole and do y'all ever think about just how incredibly terrifying the very deep ocean is? and how much of it there is?

photos of dogs the moment they get The Thing They Love are my favorite

*sighs in Texpat*. at least here we get seasons BUT STILL.

early on before we really started looking, paul wanted to look for new construction and i told him (1) the yards would be tiny and (2) they're going to have the same problems a well-maintained older home would so it's a wash. unlike a lot of other things, here "new" doesn't mean "without flaws".

Grateful for the Tibetan monks who turned wolves into hand and feet warmers so that 2000 years later I could use one as a weighted heating pad when I get the menstrual cramps of death.

Oh also, the little tours in the Rick Steves books are actually very good. I had a couple of his books but hadn't done that. This time, for Barcelona, we went on three of the tours exactly as written and had a nice time and learned a lot. Imagen.

I recently listened to the stage-adaptation of The Year of Magical Thinking and it had very similar threads. It was so beautiful and comforting in my own grief that I bought the book and am going to read it this week.
