Another A+ day. This Grounded Summer Tour may be the best yet. I’m gonna sleep well tonight.

When I started The Marinade, I never could have imagined I would one day type the following: "It would be an honor to sit down with Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope."

Something about the middle of Georgia. Place has a piece of my heart.

A+ day. On to Atlanta tomorrow. Just planning to read and write for two days.

Alright, y'all. I have a day to burn tomorrow. I can stay in Forsyth another night, head to Atlanta, go to Chattanooga a day early, or stop anywhere in between. Thoughts?

On this special bonus episode I tell tales from going home to visit my family, embarking on an Allman Brothers pilgrimage, seeing Evan Barber live, and spending some time not watching the clock. www.marinadepodcast.com/listen-to-th...

Got a really cool guest booked for Bonnaroo. Working on more. Thank y'all again and again for listening.

Macon is the winner for the night. Holler at ya boy if you live there.

Headed to Georgia today. Gonna stop for the night in Forsyth, Macon, or Atlanta. Not sure which yet. #groundedsummer

Give The Marinade a follow over on Facebook, y’all! www.facebook.com/profile.php?...

After a six year hiatus, The Marinade is back on Facebook. I quit in the lead up to the 2020 election because of Zuck's fascism. But, I'm on Instagram and Threads and Twitter, so what the hell at this point? Let's connect if you are over on that channel. www.facebook.com/share/p/15es...

Comedian Preston Canavan is our latest Marinade guest! We talk about the relief of finding out you are not a psychopath, the delicate balance of joking about sensitive subjects, and so much more! www.marinadepodcast.com/listen-to-the-marinade/2025/6/5/preston-canavan-the-marinade-episode-191

Visiting my parents. I've been here 24 hours and my father has not said a single bigoted or bat-shit-crazy-political thing. Usually we'd be knee deep in it. What changed? He got rid of cable and no longer has Fox News.

More from mom and dad’s house: I think this was the concert we were all excited to see and we ended up losing in the state baseball playoffs due to our collective lack of focus. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney were on the bill as well?

Watching the Earnhardt documentary series on Netflix with my dad. We used to ride our motorcycles to NASCAR races around the South. Highly recommend this series. Something about racing, y’all.

Visiting mom and dad. Check out ya boy in the Mr./Ms. pageant circa 1998. My character’s name was Many Pearls.

Year three of the Grounded Summer tour kicks off tomorrow. Only thing on the calendar is Bonnaroo. If you are in GA, TN, KY, NC, or SC, I’d love to hang! Also looking for open mics or opening slots.

Preston Canavan and I sat down for the most wonderful conversation tonight. I haven't laughed this hard in years. So much fun! I will get this one turned around to y'all this Monday!

Tomorrow is a big day at Marinade Studios! Recording a new @LifesGreatestHits.bsky.social AND a new Marinade. Then Monday I leave for the 2025 Grounded Summer tour. Stay tuned to all the channels for updates.

New S.G. Goodman comes out in less than a month. Y'all, I'm telling you to get ready. The closing track keeps laying me out.

I'm also looking for advice. So, if you've ever wanted to tell me how to live my life, now is the chance.

I am weighing some life-changing options. How would each impact my creative life? Let's talk about it over on Patreon. www.patreon.com/posts/jasons...

The return of Kelsey Waldon to The Marinade is live wherever you consume podcasts! Kelsey has an excellent new record called Every Ghost on the way this coming June 20th! We talked about that collection of tunes, sobriety (and not being sober,) our kin, and so much more!

I love this so much. My conversation with Kailin is one of my favorite Marinade episodes. Recorded it at the lowest point in my life and she instantly uplifted my spirit.

Whatever it takes! www.dontrocktheinbox.com/p/issue-101-...

Rey of Sunshine - A (really) short story by Jason Earle based on yesterday’s events.

Thankfully had a huge technological breakthrough today that should speed up production of the show. Also, working on booking two very cool guests!

How important is audio quality to you when you are listening to a podcast? When I started this thing I wanted it to sound good but was not overly precious. I think now I fixate on things that would not have bothered me previously.

Finishing up my conversation with Kelsey Waldon today. It's a good one! Should be out in the universe later this afternoon if the technology gods agree.

Some prickly mother fuckers have written some sweet, sweet songs.

Ever have a dream that really fucks you up into the next day?

My favorite albums from 2025 thus far. Those last two are coming out soon and there's a lot of cool stuff on the way that I'm sifting through. Isbell's is by far my favorite but the others could go in just about any order if I had to rank them.

Spilled some ink about the excellent forthcoming record by Kelsey Waldon called Every Ghost. www.marinadepodcast.com/magazine/202...
