The stupidest people are in charge because *we put them there* . The rest is noise.

I got the "taking a piss" and just stirred it up. You're welcome for that visual metaphor. Enjoy your potatoes :-)

I'm less criticizing than lashing out in frustration. I see writing genres as wine notes, not disjoint containers. It's the mix and juxtaposition that I often enjoy. If people like sticking a label on something and putting it in a box, who am I to stop them? But it does make it hard to discuss.

yeah. I figured. My daughter is too, They like collecting boxes to stack and knock down.

Boxes are stupid. I gave up trying to get that across in a reading list.

This was obvious to Robert Piersig in the 1970s.

It would kill the commercial GAI industry, which produces nothing of value to the customer at this point. There's lots of AI that isn't LLM or image generation. Anything with an intractably large search space and limited conventional algorithms to narrow the targets. Chem, Physics, Medicine. Fine

1) Require all executive compensation in cash. If they want to own stock, they have to buy it like a proper investor. If they don't, do they really believe in the company? 2) tax dividends at 15%, but growth at 30%. Stock growth today is decoupled from actual corporate value.

I'm sorry, Kennedy didn't really want to spend money on space. He saw no point but politics.

My favorite day ever in theater was watching my daughters teach , in their own way, a new class who's parents were my students and my daughters teachers.

Who wasn't warned? They weren't listening. While I would have preferred proper framing (not "may pose conflict of interest", but "is a clear...") but the results were clear and, I think, inevitable because too many people were invested in the myths of the right.

What good is that? I can't afford to move either.

Fuck yes. I keep hoping to sign a contract and you bet that's what I'm going to do that day. Not a book contract, gods no, I couldn't write a book to save my life which is what I'd have to do if I did sign one .
