Oh my god, I couldn’t quite put my finger on this style of “voice”, but it always comes off as perfunctory in substance while simultaneously dense in jargon. Like when someone fluffs up their yearly performance review.

That they go ever so wider and wider, but never deep at all, is exactly why they are so magical to "generalists" who all happen to be the most successful/powerful people in our current economic incentive structure

She probably assumed acceptance to the Ivy League was about as hard as getting an op-ed placed in the Wall St. Journal without any previous journalism experience

This video also serves as an explainer for why they find Elon funny

It's so fucking weird how the "party of masculinity" yells so loudly and so often about how scared they are to be in any public space

I always get a chuckle as to how these visions of tech utopia involve a level of intentional deployment and benevolent applications of technology that we've never previously come close to doing in history. Don't worry guys, THIS TIME will be when it's done responsibly. Isn't that right, Zuck?

I completely get that parents are beyond exhausted or crunched for time (or both, * raises hand *) but reading to my kid is non-negotiable. Kids are DYING to connect w/ their parents. Especially at bedtime when they may be anxious knowing they are about to be alone for the longest stretch of the day

How many would be able name one who isn't known for primarily for fraud like Michael Milken or Jordan Belfort?

People who get all their life force from conference calls as a proxy for the real human relationships they are too off-putting to have

I agree with this, but I would also add they were in high school or college during the first "woke" panic that was then called "being politically correct" and they resent these fights over group identity are not resolved. It exacerbates the unhappiness they already have.

This motherfucker needs to Google David Horowitz. Nothing he says is original. It's just a bunch of recycled intellectual panic nonsense, but in painfully verbose language.

It's core competency is scale, which means even whenever something is "good" or "great" it's intentionally an accident. Once you scale the good/great things you transform them into mediocre BY DESIGN. It's always been amazing to me how many people don't understand this.

These discussions never consider people are here specifically because those ideas are OVERexposed

Imagine my surprise a dude who was blind to Hugh Hefner’s creepiness for 3 decades in exchange for access to the Playboy Mansion ended up being played like this.

Do not discount how much he loathes other people and resents the idea of a shared society. He's been a prick about this stuff since way before he was parent.

TBH a Secretary of Commerce named Big Poppa Pump would be perfectly on the nose

Do you think this was an ownership edict to the org given how vindictive Trump II has shown itself to be in business regulatory matters? I imagine Walter doesn't want the heat coming down on other Guggenheim entities. Not a great excuse, but maybe the players/staff has no say in all of this?

no shit. they don’t even understand why stability is valuable

Nobody involved in this has ever been tasked with building anything that requires 100% uptime with 100% stability. A hack-a-thon is perhaps the single stupidest way to accomplish the goal.

The dulcet tones of their narration are so jarring. It feels like a Lumon training video or something.

More than 1/2 of our decline in birth rate is due to a very successful and intentional effort over the last 25 years to curb teen pregnancy. Elon and the other Pro-Natalist weirdos are implicitly demanding more teens have kids "for the good of civilization".

He looks more and more disheveled each time he does one of these interviews. I hope he does one everyday. By next month he will look like Gary Busey.

My favorite part about the disjointed responses is how they're all based on admitting none of the many people in that group chat made sure to verify who they were talking to. They all admit they passed the buck!

Rampant fraud...except in 2016 and 2024. We can call it "leap fraud"

As a person who just has a normal white collar job, two kids, but doesn't run several companies while also working for the Government attending cabinet meetings, being in the Oval Office, and wandering the West Wing/OEB, I do not have enough bandwidth to post as frequently as he does.
