I can't bring myself to use that one. Call someone a scout or a Keeler stan all day, but not that one.

Thank you!!! From your lips (fingers, whatever) to whatever benevolent power might be listening...

Thank you!!! I do not like feeling actually helpless as well as existentially helpless.

Miigwech! I actually wasn't in that much pain until the doctor was all pressing here and twisting there. "Does this hurt? Does this hurt?" Like, it sure as hell does NOW, Doc.

Miigwech! I do, too!
(Would also settle for being less clumsy, but in five+ decades of walking I've never NOT tripped over shit, so that's probably not happening, 😂)

At this point, that guy's gotta have his own wing at the Louvre.
He probably doesn't have a daughter. But he directed Mommie Dearest once. Which is, you know, basically the same thing.

These are the people who cosplay as patriots. They have no concept of there being real lives on the line if we go to war. It's always a game to the FAFO crowd until it lands on their doorstep, then they cry "We didn't know! That's not what we meant!" When what they meant was fuck everyone but me.

A surprising display of worry from a group of people extremely confident that they know what "magical realism" is without double-checking.

Everyone has a right to appropriate, accessible, affirming healthcare. Trans folks, disabled people, the unhoused and undocumented, brown and black people, women and children.
It is a basic human right.
Unfortunately they don't seem to teach *care* in medical school, just diagnosis and treatment.

That would make sense; the Irish can dunk like nobody's business.

Katherine is also a shirt-tail cousin of mine (though we have yet to work out the exact connection, our families fought together at Batoche), so I guess that makes us shirt-tail cousins, too! And I adore her and her writing. Her graphic novel series "Echo" made me cry several times.

Mine are definitely silver, not straight grey - they shine in the sun. I assume they are replacing strands that would normally shine copper in the sun.

I found my first grey hair at 20. Still almost entirely brown in my mid-50s, though. My youngest found his first at 13. It seems like they just appear, fully grown.

That is the best response ever. I will be using it liberally.

Dead giveaway. I will never understand why so many people want to cosplay as us. Like, yeah, we're awesome, obvi, but we come by it by way of a shit-ton of trauma. You don't get to pick and choose what parts you get; there's no such thing as a Cafeteria Native. SMH.

You're being disingenuous. If you truly wanted to know her term for where she's from, you'd have asked that. Your question was designed to elicit exactly the response you got, then allow you to hide behind your phrasing & declare how overwrought & mean we are & how misunderstood you are. Boohoo.
