If your personal opsec isn't buttoned up, understand that YOU are a weak link in every group that you organize with.
No more excuses for a lack of basic opsec and cybersecurity. Not caring about this doesn't make you brave, it makes you a threat.
The state will use you to map out the movement.

🍀 🍀 One for each eye, and thanks for the reminder that I’m overdue for my retina and optic nerve checks. Still amazed to learn that the retina and optic nerve are technically part of the central nervous system, so more brain than eye.

🙌🏾 Welcome!
Don’t forget to put alt text on your images here. Folks will (rightfully) remind you loudly if you forget. There’s a setting in the admin to require it for all images you post; recommend turning it on now.

If you or someone in your network works in the SLED sector and is looking for a customer-first strategist, team trainer, or digital consultant who has lived the web creation life from the ground up: I’d love to connect with you.

Now, I’m taking this moment to double down on something that’s been a long time in the making: my own government consulting firm, focused on state and local government and higher education (AKA the SLED sector).

- Coach product managers, stakeholders, and execs to track more impactful metrics,
- Implement web accessibility policies and procedures that better meet the needs of those with disabilities, and
- Deploy web applications and systems that continue to be best-in-class in the federal govt sector.

❤️ And since you’re from Downers Grove, this will make sense to you: I used to live in Forest Park and Glendale Heights, but now live and raise my kids (and cats) in Oak Park.

I only use the official iOS app on my phone, which keeps losing the settings. I sometimes use the web app on my Mac laptop in either Firefox or Chrome, but I haven’t seen the setting lost in the laptop browser.

Leo has a maternal grandmother who was Louisiana Creole and a maternal grandfather who was born in Haiti. Census records have them recorded as Black or “mulatto” in New Orleans’s Seventh Ward, but they switched to white when they migrated up to Chicago.
AKA passing for lightskinned folk is a thing.

It doesn’t help that the required setting in the admin that I set to “on” keeps being reset to “off” for some reason. Pisses me off that it’s a) not automatically on despite several requests that it be so and b) keeps being switched back off for me without my choice.
