@theguardian.com doing Starmer’s comms for him The concessions are not massive, they just kick the can down the road All current PIP claimants have to reapply every few years, so will become new claimants soon enough, and then subject to the damaging cuts www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

"Polanski's aim, he told me, is to “make Labour more scared of losing votes and seats to the Green Party than to Reform”...issues such as a wealth tax, the war in Gaza and the NHS..framing the economic divide as “the 99 per cent vs the 1 per cent”. www.newstatesman.com/the-politics...

Defenders of FPTP take note It doesn’t just change the voting system, it changes the political culture

The problem with the ‘£3bn cost increase’ here is that it ignores - the cause which cannot be reversed (a rapidly ageing population) - the context (GDP is increasing by £25bn pa) - the implication (we abandon disabled people & see costs elsewhere shoot up) www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

Spot on from @zackpolanski.bsky.social Housing should be to provide homes for people, not financial assets for sepculators

Great post, but there is a simple answer to this There’s less £€$ return for investors in people walking, enjoying nature, ignoring fashion, eating unprocessed food and engaging in charitable activities The economic system is entirely focused on the opposite of what people actually want

If reactionary voters are now splitting for Reform instead of Tory, then we are in very dangerous waters Only PR will save us (just), but the Labour leadership will never introduce it, because it’s their only leverage with voters come the next GE

AI is in a bubble just now. Anyone who thinks it can be used to wholesale replace people really don’t understand it I feel that at some point soon the bubble will burst as the supposed returns on this tool fail to materialise

Going back over some of Henry George’s arguments and am struck by the clarity with which he explains even the modern economy. He wrote Progress & Poverty in 1879, but this passage is as relevant now as it was then. If only more people understood this simple notion

We’re building a movement Everyday more people are joining the Green Party. And with the right leadership more MPs will too.

Anyone who votes for this obvious conman really needs to give their head a wobble

It's 3 years today since Shell was given the go-ahead to drill for new gas at Jackdaw field. It was later ruled unlawful, but self-styled "green" chancellor Rachel Reeves made clear she doesn't care 👇 Repost if you agree Govt should make a break with fossil fuel polluters to make a safer future
