Thank you to the 123 Labour MPs who have now signed the amendment 👏

Thank you Apsana Begum 👏

Tackling industrial energy prices is the single most important thing the government can do as part of the industrial strategy. However, our energy system is broken beyond repair! It will never function in the interests of business and consumers until it is brought back into public ownership.

All the Labour MPs who have signed the ‘reasoned’ amendment to welfare bill 👏

108 Labour backbenchers - that is 27% of the PLP of 403, and about 48% of the backbench (which is around 227 Labour MPs, with about 176 having a frontbench role of some kind).

Two days before the 2016 Brexit referendum, Daniel Hannan wrote about what life would be like in Britain on 24 June 2025. (The least accurate thing ever written about Brexit.) A week ago, he wrote in the Telegraph that Britain is turning into a third world country. He got paid for both articles.

IT’S HAPPENING! Labour MPs have launched a major rebellion to stop Keir Starmer’s welfare cuts which will plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. Write to your MP NOW and ask them to vote against the planned cuts. You can use this handy link action.trussell.org.uk/your-mp-must...

108 MPs are rebelling against Labour's welfare bill. There are no good ways forward for Starmer, whether he pulls the bill or not. His superhuman stubbornness has backed him into a very tight corner. A crisis of his own making. (Of course, for the sake of all affected, I hope Labour now bin it!)

Today along with over 100 colleagues I’ve singed amendment on proposed changes to PIP. I hope the government will reconsider pushing this to the vote. My statement below commonsbusiness.parliament.uk/Document/957...

Thank you to the over 70 Labour MPs who have had the courage to step up and back a motion opposing Keir Starmer’s controversial cuts to disability benefits which on the governments own analysis will plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty 👏 www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Farage’s latest policy would let super-rich foreigners pay a one-off £250k fee and live here exempt from all tax on their foreign assets. Experts have said the policy would cost £34bn over five years. As I wrote recently, Farage is an economic car-crash waiting to happen…

Only 30% of pall care is NHS funded. Given today's vote, will Keir Starmer at least commit to dramatically increasing palliative care provision so that patients don't "choose" to end their lives because we, society, fail to give them the care that might make life worth living?

UK Minister says govt stepping up preparations for temporary nationalisation of Thames Water. Must not be temporary, no return to private sector. Water companies have stolen plenty, dumped sewage, unplugged leaks. No compensation, as was the case with Railtrack and Northern Rock.

Reeves promised oil industry ‘quid pro quo’ over windfall tax in private meeting

Bridget Phillipson took a £2950 donation from a lobbying firm linked to private healthcare 🚨🚨🚨

The disability benefits cuts introduced by the government today are not positive reforms to welfare, but a dangerous step backwards. Hundreds of thousands will be plunged into poverty. There is no financial case, nor moral case for these cuts. The government must drop this Bill.

What the UK government is proposing is short-sighted and harmful to many disabled people. Plans to remove or reduce PIP for people with mental health problems will push many into poverty. It will worsen people's mental health and make it harder to enter or stay in work. 1/3

Not enough attention on Blue Labour's insidious relationship with Thiel and Karp's CIA spytech company Palantir who have 24 contracts with UK public institutions, including the NHS, the Police Force, the Ministry of Defence, the Cabinet Office, and the DLUHC. No one voted for this.

The music stops in 2029. Labour might as well shut up shop for good the day after the 2029 GE. The voters will NEVER forgive them for throwing the door wide open for a Reform government because of their appalling choices while in office. (Bookmark this. I'm happy to eat humble pie if necessary.)

Increasingly that money is going into the profit of private firms as Labour accelerates NHS outsourcing/privatisation This flies in face of all evidence that privatisation is 1) more expensive, & 2) has worse outcomes for patients Also, votes have never given their permission for NHS privatisation

Nationwide Building Society to hike CEO pay package by 43% to £7m. Interest on savings down. Workers won't get 43% pay rise No sector immune to fat-cattery. Govt says wage rises are inflationary but silence on exec pay, dividends, share buybacks.

“If you become disabled before next April, you'll get £13.85 a day to pay for someone to help. If you become disabled on May 1, you'll get £7.14 a day. What was insufficient will become farcical” @fleetstreetfox.bsky.social www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

"proposals to make it harder for disabled people with less severe conditions to claim PIP" must go through. The Prime Minister of a supposedly progressive country thinks it's fine to have a hierarchy of disability where the "less severe" get no support. Shame on any MP who votes in favour of this.

Lovelies - EveryDoctor predicted that Starmer would restart NHS PFI projects- so we’ve quietly done some research looking into what’s currently going on, in preparation. If ministers are going to try to sell this to the public as a good thing, the public deserves some facts🚨 …

Please Write to your MP: Defend our right to protest. It’s quick and easy to do. Parliament is about to debate the Crime and Policing Bill, which contains dangerous new measures that would further restrict our right to protest palestinecampaign.eaction.online/righttoprotest

Private equity bidders trump rival to buy doctors' surgeries, hospitals and hospices with £1.7bn Assura bid. NHS estate privatised by Tories/Blair, now bought/sold for profit. NHS pays escalating rents, less money left for frontline services. All part of creeping privatisation

More money for the NHS will fall flat if the Government go ahead with their proposed disability benefit cuts, which are a major public health risk. It's time for them to abandon the cuts and pledge to fully fund our health and social care system. #SpendingReview

Major Qs for govt to answer on much needed housing funds: will it actually boost social housing or just go into pockets of developers? Will they end Right to Buy or will social housing keep being sold off faster than councils can build? How many new social homes will be built?

UK Govt's £122m claim against Michelle Mone-linked company reaches high court. Got PPE contracts through VIP lane. Govt claimed PPE was defective. After denials Mone and husband admitted they personally benefitted. Wheels grind slowly when it comes to the rich. Mone was sued in December 2022.

MPs ask minister if he will claw back Thames Water exec bonuses. £18.5m bonus, 50% of base pay, already paid to 21 execs to circumvent ban, out of £3bn loan. TW plan to pay bonus of 200% of base pay next year. Rewards for fleecing people, dumping sewage.
