I'm so tired of not feeling comfortable in my body...

I feel like it's kind of my responsibility to educate people on how they can improve their online privacy and stuff, but it seems like people just.. don't really care anymore. And that's really scary to me.

I really don't understand the hype around the Matrix protocol. I recently tried it again, and it's still extremely janky, it really seems like it hasn't improved much over the last couple years. XMPP has always worked perfectly in my experience.

Parallax shader soon 👀 🌌

God, I fucking love GNOME so much. I've tried basically everything under the sun (including other OSes) and have always come back to it. At this point, if I couldn't use GNOME anymore, I'd rather never use a computer again than use something else. I might be a bit too obsessed lmfao

Update: I swapped headsets with a friend last night. Why the hell is a Quest 2 more reliable than an $800 Quest Pro?? It didn't have any of the issues I mentioned, and on top of that: - it could see IR wayy easier - it was faster and never spiked in latency despite having a worse processor

I'm really happy with the state and direction of wireless headsets on Linux, but the Quest Pro's OS completely ruined the experience for me. Fuck Meta. I didn't pay $800 for a headset that gets worse with every update (which happen in the background without ever telling you)

I'm having second thoughts about trying to use GNOME Builder as my Zig IDE. As much as I love that it can automatically pick up build systems and that it uses Adwaita, it's just so buggy with ZLS. Even in a simple hello world program, it can't handle the language server properly.

I'm so happy that I finally have the time and motivation to get back into software development. There are so many XR-related tools that I have been wanting to create or contribute to. The XR space in general definitely deserves some more love, I think.

I feel a little guilty using a proprietary IDE to work on open source software, but JetBrains Fleet has honestly reignited my love for development. I honestly forgot what it felt like to enjoy coding this much.

should've practiced moon photography before the special event last night, but still got a cool result :3

"care for yourself for goddamn once..."
