We are genocidal too; Bengali famines, partition of India, mau mau rebellion, greek communists in 45 etc without going to far back It's the kids that burn
comment in response to post
And the 19 year old kid that you watched burn , you think he had that choice ? Will your child have a choice when called up tomorrow? To go and slug out some other idiots war..

And that is sad . Don't forget Mr knight you live in a country that only recently sent it's boys to murder Iraqis for fictional reasons & a country that raped the world at the point of a gun. I make no defence of Russia. Everybody is some family's loved child

And that's why our fptp voting system is designed to elect wise representatives , and not govt by referendum. If we ve abandoned "hard choices" working politicians then give us PR or similar and we ll find a new way. At the mo, engaged people are talking about not voting such is the despair with sw1
comment in response to post
People voted for change in 2016, 2019 & 2024 and will keep voting for change ( at the mo, in the worst places) so actually your best chance of re election is reversing Brexit and giving the UK a breath of fresh air . Do PR and do media ownership
comment in response to post
But shd nt kier take the risk ....you can't govern a country running away from this. So start by doing something about media ownership and how the BBC is governed ?
comment in response to post
We stopped electing decision makers ; we now elect devout followers of referendums & press barons, who , it follows, must being doing little for their salaries

Looks like it would come as a surprise to everyone in parliament....

Who gets the DNA data ? Palantir ? Musk ? 23&me ? The health ministers is health care sponsors ? After all the ownership is only yours once. It is great news but with great caution in our evolving NHS

Like soviet tower blocks , let's just hide the party member supermarkets sited in the basements : who gets the DNA data ? Palantir ? Musk ? 23&me ? After all the ownership is only yours once. It is great but with caution in our evolving NHS

The money shd have been spent on a fibre web network or as Viz said , it would have been cheaper to move Birmingham 45 mins closer to London

As Amando iannucci said, why did nt they start the building in Leeds ? And TBF it was a terrible idea and badly executed when labour started it. Remember the outrageous consultancy fees before outset ?

I don't like the American regime, they have nukes, should nt we bomb them ?
comment in response to post
Like WMD, the basis for the war is fictional, Iran's bomb has been imminent since 1990 and still does nt exist . Also Iran has nt been an aggressor for 100s of years . Immoral war.

I d say to spectator readers : good, don't come here

Lots of use of the word train ,: but are they taking ownership of the rolling stock ? ( Which is where all the public money is siphoned off)

There is no moral reason that israel shd win this war that they ve started .

I don't know which new voting system is better, I just want to try any new voting system. If the argument is that we ll get fascists with pr, well we had them for 14 years anyway with maybe more on the way in 29
comment in response to post
We do need better road surfaces, we need rail money to be spent better ( not HS2 , not EWR on its current route ), we need more cycling infrastructure which Inc car park & ride
comment in response to post
Yup, so that is the problem...what is the gov going to do to tackle it ? They have a huge majority they have opportunity..." It's so unfair l, i hate you'

The point that Russia lost 22 million ww2 is rarely & only recently acknowledged, the majority of their youthful males that devastated Russia's post war agriculture

Nor have they grasped that geographically, humans and country are still in Europe , a vote does nt change that
comment in response to post
The country feels ill , we all feel overwhelmed so do feel good and do FOM and Breturn . We can't live in a country ruled by the stupid in referendum. That's not why we have fptp , we have that as we're supposed to elect wiser better politicians than the mob ,not headline pandering lemmings
comment in response to post
Granny , I don't disagree. I think gently pissing off every supporter , (Muslims over Gaza , 70% Breturn supportes etc) ain't a formula either...just take their majority & go for it. It's what Blair successfully did. At the mo I m looking to vote elsewhere like many. Gotta do Brexit & community care

Thank goodness....go greens

It is refreshing after maybe 40 years we finally have a govt tidying up out of date legislation ( well one so far) rather than knee jerking to headlines (... Could do similar about Brexit )

I don't like that but good. The private sector has stepped into fulfill state obligations. Good old private sector. Our state has failed it's citizens

Not sure the term working class has any point now. Everyone is working class unless they have unearnt income. In state schools there's boys football clique and those not, about the only measure left
