I haven't read the book and I probably won't. However, we were put at a huge disadvantage by Biden's decision to run for a second term. If he had stuck to one term and there was a primary it may have prevented oligarchs burning down the federal govt right now.

Horrible, horrible stuff. Especially when this disease is so easily prevented. This is what happens when science is rejected.

I want as many districts as possible to go blue in the next election. I also want the people of the US to come together for a common cause. But please be clear what that common cause is. It must be standing in the gap to keep the current administration in check for Americs's working families.

And let's not forget that Ukraine gets a huge amount of money from USAID. That's why Putin's double buddies of Trump and Musk would love to have control of that money.

I'm glad, but we need the all confirmations to come to a grinding halt until federal departments have their funds and Musk is locked out of the treasury.

100% this. Take a page from McConnell and obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. If a Republican sneezes they shouldn't be able to find a box of tissues. That's how far up the GOP's ass the Democrats need to be.

Schumer, Pelosi, Klobuchar and the rest of their ilk MUST go. The DNC needs leadership right now and to go completely apeshit. Like, obstruct EVERYTHING within their power. Their antiquated outlook on statesmanship is out-gunned in this environment.

Finally a Democrat with a spine. We need this to be our normal operating state.

We have to take a page out of the GOP playbook and gum everything up. Archaic points of order, grandstanding, whatever it takes to slow them down and make a spectacle of it. We know how it's done.

This is honestly our gravest threat right now. An unelected, unappointed oligarch has now taken the power of the purse away from congress. It is by far the most unconstitutional thing this administration has done so far, and that's saying something.

Literally the one thing with which I agree with Rand(y) Paul.

It's not just now. They have rejected core tenets of the faith for decades. They've just decided not to pretend to care anymore.

Disney isn't a news org, it's an entertainment company with some news tacked on. Iger has no desire to fight for a part of the business that he doesn't see as core. Doesn't make it right, but that's why it's happening.

Having worked with several CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies I can unequivocally say that they don't deserve the amount of money they make. At least in my anecdotal experience.

Bob Good is, to my undying shame, my representative. He continually finds ways to be a worse human being, even when you think it's not possible.

My 4 kids were all IVF. It was an excruciatingly expensive and emotional process, but worth it in the best possible way.
There is zero chance he follows through on his promise. To make that happen, someone would have to care. And if Trump has proved one thing, he doesn't care.

It concerns me too. I have 4 kids, all fully vaccinated. But my SIL's kids are not. We should fight every step of the way so kids don't die. But if all defenses fail, we can fall back on Trump's lack of conviction to get rid of anything that causes him to look bad.

Here's what we need to understand. Trump doesn't give a fuck about vaccines as long as there is no blowback. The minute there is a measles, polio or other outbreak after RFK plays house with national health, Trump will kick him to the curb without a thought. Happened many times in the 1st admin.

This is purely about the Biden administration's lack of urgency and resolve to prosecute the malfeasance that came out of Trump's first term. He wanted to bring the country together, but he just provided the GOP the space to regroup.
