It’s mostly a combination of both luck and some fighting from those select few with a semi functional brain that prevents this from happening more often as far as I can tell. The original post should probably be edited to worldwide rather than US specific.

The interesting thing to me is I think most of us know this squad is 0% to ever be a title contender and probably 5% to ever be a conference contender but it still seems better than the alternative. Guess that speaks to the pathetic mess that is this franchise overall. We know had bad it might get.
