The spurs don't fall far from the bones.

Makes sense when you recognize that he has an IQ around 80, increasing dementia, a long-term use of speed, and he’s a psychopath. What doesn’t make sense is giving this crayon eating monster power over anything of value.

It strikes me that a greater than average number of entertainers, authors, scientists, and other public figures have died in the past week or so? Anyone else have that sense?

What kills me about a lot of elite opinion writing is that it wouldn’t pass muster in a freshman writing class. Claims require evidence, especially big or broad claims. Why isn’t anyone in an editorial position demanding that evidence?

Somehow his mercurial vengeance against the arts makes me madder than anything. I know there are more important issues, but this is just despotic hatred. What a gigantic asshole.* *Please excuse the term.

If by “baffling” you mean “hypocritical.”

If it contains fake citations, you can bet AI wrote it. Somebody ought to scan it both for probable AI and plagiarism.

I originated one of the largest gun trafficking cases in US history - thousands of guns straight to the cartels. Not only are guns going TO Mexico from the US, the people coming from Mexico commit far fewer violent crimes than native born US citizens. This runs counter to Trump Cult propaganda.

That would be awful. Don’t share this.

More than anything, it rewards people born into affluent families. Birth, not effort is economically determinative for most people.

Government by grudge holding.

This kind of thing that raises all ships. Well done.

Every time the Trump regime revokes a grant or cancels programs or services we need to remember an important fact: State failure is often measured in terms of a nation’s ability to deliver “core goods of state.” We’re on a very bad path.

I have said repeatedly the way we eat this elephant is a disgruntled staffer. Find the weak link and build cases against everyone up to Pres. Immunity. I know Bondi wouldn’t allow it but that’s how you do it.

I’ve had the same thoughts. There was a period where I might gain a couple hundred followers a day but now it’s maybe a dozen - despite having a much broader reach. Maybe I am just as tedious as one guy suggested! No need to confirm this, but thanks.

“Run government like a business” has destroyed higher education and corrections. It’s just more neoliberal garbage to excuse predatory capitalism.

He’s half right.

May she get to experience the inevitable in as judicious a manner as the Lord sees fit.

The 1% have hundreds of billions stashed in foreign accounts - often in microstates known for opacity and laundering. My question is this: Why aren’t we requiring full disclosure and taxing these assets that are often used to influence things in this country?

Reminder: DOGE was never about "efficiency."

Why are we paying 5 Billion dollars in subsidies to Oil Companies when they've made record profits since 2020? Why are they removing tax credits for Green Energy?

My stock response (after multiple gentle and subtle hints to stop talking) is to close my notes and sit down silently. I hate to be a crotchety old prof, but this generation of students often lacks the respect and discipline needed for the classroom to work.

I am serious when I say that everyone associated with this administration should end up in prison, and that includes its enablers like Bezos and whoever the current Sulzberger is. The latter should get the Hague for manufacturing consent for genocide.

The commutation of Larry Hoover’s sentence is beyond absurdity. Having personally seen kids murdered in the street by the GDs, I’m not a fan of this. Hoover received multiple life sentences for a reason. Namely, murder, extortion, and money laundering. It’s time to remove the psychopath in chief.

Well… lookie here. Sen. Iffy-Valor, a non-resident “representative” of the Trump Cult in #Arkansas. Tom is a follower masquerading as a leader. He’s spent his entire political career in some horrible person’s shadow. We deserve better than one more rubber stamp Republican. #arpx #arnews

I find this series a bit difficult to follow but I was disappointed to learn of its cancellation.

Taco Supreme Leader.

If this can be proven, it shows deliberate intent to create a hostile work environment. Which, even in this nightmare scenario, is still illegal.

I guess I’ll file this under the “blind hog acorn” rule? Given the anvil drop in CVS customer service over the past few years, it’s difficult to root for them. Then again, depriving the people of #Arkansas of 23 pharmacies is also bad. The state government makes it easy to oppose them. #arpx #arnews

Have you ever noticed the only time Trump smiles is when he’s being hateful or disrespectful? That’s because the only joy he feels comes through cruelty.

There’s nothing wrong with this guy that being dropped in a thousand foot hole wouldn’t cure. People like this add zero value to humanity.
