in short, this win wasn't a fluke. it was the best of the best.

y'all are aware of the videos, but I am in awe of his commitment to create engaging content in *multiple* languages and communities

apologies, forgot the ALT text:
Photo 1: Cuomo Logo - bland red white and blue box-y design without cohesion of impact, reads "CUOMO for MAYOR"
Photo 2: Zohran logo - Superhero-fonts and colors of bright blue and yellow/red, reads "ZOHRAN for NEW YORK CITY"

And the clear, focused messaging, that was never derailed or compromised.

Just from a design perspective alone, which candidate actually gives a shit about being the Mayor of NYC?

Yeah, we definitely need the next admin to fix the school calendar so that summer break starts in early June like the rest of civilized society
Especially since so many of our public schools and buses don't have AC! 🤯 Mr Deputy Mayor @bradlander.bsky.social please keep working on AC for us!

Zohran just passed Eric Adam's total vote share that brought him victory in the 2021
Zohran = 405,551 votes (Round 1 - 86% reporting)
Adams = 404,513 votes (Round 8)
@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is going to win!!

100% - I hope all communities will eventually be blessed with ranked choice voting!

Case in point: My kid's NYC public school bus doesn't have air conditioning. Today we have a heat index over 100°, so ~120°-140° on the bus.
One of the richest cities in one of the richest countries in the wold, and we 'can't afford' it.
Yet there's endless cash for endless wars...

The worst bit for Mayor?
Cuomo tried to override NYC’s landmark climate/jobs law, Local Law 97. Aka NYC’s “Green New Deal”
Law.
It makes large building owners cut pollution from their buildings, which are NYC’s top source of pollution.
Cuomo is a creature of real estate so he tried to kill it.

purely anecdotal, but I'm hearing back from my contacts that they did early voting and wouldn't dream of ranking Cuomo.

Shout out to @jfrejnyc.bsky.social for creating this very handy voter guide (which happens to line up perfectly with my research and preferences)
✅ Beyond don't rank Cuomo...
