Today’s ruling is a devastating loss for transgender people and our families, and an affront to the Constitution. We'll continue to fight alongside trans youth in Tennessee and across the nation for the health care they deserve.

Come on out tomorrow night (Wed., 6/18) at 7 pm to hear @tmcallister.bsky.social in conversation w/ @ambersparks.bsky.social about Tom's recent RMP book IT ALL FELT IMPOSSIBLE at Kramers in Dupont Circle. There are FCC rules about equal air time for both political parties. Seems like we need one now for equal time in handcuffs and ICE detention.

“Who out there wants her to matter? Most people don’t seem to want any of these absences to matter individually—definitely not as a whole.” ICYMI, my new #flashfiction is online. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful editorial team @variantlit.bsky.social variantlit.com/sparrows-wor...

This is America. And these ICE cowards need to be unmasked and thrown in jail.

“It’s kind of exhausting maintaining everything I have going on, which isn’t that much, but even without ambitions you still have to go and be whoever it is you’ve been for however long you’ve been alive.” So excited to have this new #flashfiction in Variant Lit. variantlit.com/sparrows-wor...

"The ad for the job caught my eye in the Sunday paper, wedged between a posting for a home health aide and one for a house cleaner. Wanted: Tooth Fairy." Read this surprising story from our Summer issue! 🦷 by Nicole Desjardins Gowdy variantlit.com/holes/

A very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads of all genders. Hope you get some time to relax and recharge 🌼

A few more signs from No Kings Day in Philly today. (Easily 100,000 people marching on the Parkway today)

Despite warnings from the law enforcement not to attend today’s No Kings rally after this mornings shooting of Minnesota lawmakers with the killer on the lose, the No Kings Rally is happening at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.

I’m thrilled to have a story in the new issue of @variantlit.bsky.social I put my heart into this one, and tbh a lot of grief and anger about the Covid pandemic. Would love any help spreading the word to help it find readers 🌼 variantlit.com/sparrows-wor...

Among the many reasons that this is deeply disturbing is that a) her security detail felt they could even talk to the Senator, let alone put hands on him, and b) that she doesn’t tell her security to stop or even react to what’s happening.

Friends! My new #flashfiction, “Sparrow’s Work Song,” is among the dazzling poems and stories in the new issue of @variantlit.bsky.social. It’s a story I really love. Huge thanks to prose editor Tori Walters for all the kindness & support. variantlit.com/sparrows-wor...

Good morning. Today we celebrate Loving Day—honoring the 1967 Supreme Court decision that struck down bans on interracial marriage. It’s a powerful reminder that love can change the law—and the world. Here’s to progress, unity, and love in all its forms. ❤️

Wow, I love the precision, tension, and turns in this @lostballoon.bsky.social micro by @vicnogaywrites.bsky.social lost-balloon.com/2025/06/04/t...

I mean who among us hasn’t at one time been a powerful Nazi billionaire caught in an online flame war about massive government contracts and sex trafficking scandals. This is how populist movements have always happened.

Tim MacGabhann’s ‘The Black Pool: A Memoir of Forgetting’ goes into and under the surface of memory in a powerfully charged narrative that’s raw and fine, agonising and funny, sobering and unforgettable. @sceptrebooks.bsky.social.
