A major KI initiative to recruit new assistant professors with outstanding proposals in all areas of medicine, biomedicine and public health. We offer an amazing research environment, great colleagues and generous startup packages. Check it out and get working on your applications! (repost please!)

And that wraps up #FRM2025 in Oslo. I had a fantastic time meeting so many friends, old and new, and seeing so much cool #neuroscience. Until next time!

Very happy to share the latest from my postdoc‬! 10 yrs of mouse social networks + 1.25 yrs of acoustic data ➡️ insight into vocalization & sociality in a wild population of your favorite lab model 🐁 paper: bit.ly/4n93yyD data: bit.ly/4lfFBEk code: bit.ly/4kNnMwx #bioacoustics #neuroskyence 1/8

Very impressed with how well the FENS meeting in Oslo has been organised. Many thanks to Klas Kullander and the rest of the organisers for putting together a great #FRM2025!

Very happy Janos and I managed to get such an amazing line-up of speakers for our symposium on voltage imaging, at #FRN2025! Huge thanks to Christiane Grimm, Madhu Kannan, and Weijian Zong for sharing their amazing work. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I have!

Great talk by Guillaume Rousselet on p-values! Tag yourself: I'm zone of wishful thinking #FRM2025 #FENS

Second day of the #FENS regional meeting in #Oslo. Glad to see the weather is back to typical Norwegian; all that sunshine yesterday may have given visitors the wrong impression! #FRM2025

In Oslo for the #FRM2025! Catch our poster (1075) this Wednesday on: 🧠 Pre- and postsynaptic determinants of claustro-cortical connectivity Come by to know more about the mysterious claustrum! #Neuroscience #Claustrum #SynapticConnectivity @ki.se @giladsilberberg.bsky.social

Interested in Long term potentiation? Come and join our symposium at @fens.org regional meeting at Oslo on 16 June. #FRM2025 #neuroscience www.frm2025oslo.no

The main lecture hall was already full, so just imagine you can see @olekiehn.bsky.social on the outside projector here, welcoming us all to #FRM2025 !

We’ll be in Oslo from today! 🇳🇴#FRM2025 Come meet our IBRO representatives at our booth to chat about how we can support your #neuroscience career 🧠 And don’t miss the daily Neuro Speed Quiz to win a surprise! 📍 See all IBRO activities: buff.ly/kCqTAH2

The bird-cherry Ermine hard at work here. Poor tree!

#neuroskyence folks: as my postdoc grant is running out soon, I am looking for new opportunities in systems neuroscience! Keywords: patch clamp ephys, opto, mouse behavior, (in vivo) voltage imaging. Would love to return to the Basal Ganglia. Sharing appreciated, and happy #FluorescenceFriday !

Do any of my #PainResearch or #Neuroskyence friends have experience with lentiviral transduction of mouse DRG neurons in vitro? My Googling / PubMeding is not proving too fruitful for recent publications.

The house at the end of my street always flies a Norwegian flag on holidays. Apparently, they switched things up for #pridemonth!

Talked to @KateZernike at @nytimes about my journey and the current moment for scientists in the U.S. “Ardem Patapoutian’s story is not just the American dream, it is the dream of American science.” Read the article here. No subscription required: www.nytimes.com/2025/06/03/u...

There's no need to get a permission license to use a figure from a paywalled article if the same figure was also used in article's preprint—just cite the preprint for the figure

Happy #Fluorescence Friday! Here are a pair of somatostatin interneurons in the retrosplenial cortex, expressing the pAce voltage indicator. I normally record these in vivo, but for a change, decided to look at them in slice and record some ephys. You can just make out the patch pipette!
