That OPP press conference just now was crazy on so many levels.

I’m sorry, did you say long history of strong drafts? 2017 was 8 years ago.

Make them stop! Adds nothing to the broadcast and distracts the players.

I think we have the opportunity to elect better leaders coming up this Fall. We will see. If Helena wins, we’re headed in the right direction IMO. I feel pretty confident that Landry will be around awhile, however.

“State gov isn’t perfect” is a wild understatement. And there’s where we will disagree. I have more faith in us electing better local leadership than I have faith in Landry and the state government acting in our best interests.

Nor can we just hope that the Governor and legislature represent New Orleans properly. Because we should vote for better local leaders doesn’t mean we should empower politicians over whom we have LESS control. It’s not like the state has shown us they will lead. Ppl are leaving the state not just NO

Not great largely, and there’s some specific judges in Nola that I’m thinking of. But we can vote them out next election and we vote on our DA who determines how we charge juveniles. Ceding control to the clown show in Baton Rouge is not the answer.

So you’re arguing that the LA state legislature has shown that they ARE acting in our interests? While there are issues for sure, giving more power to our joke of a state government is not the answer. I don’t want Baton Rouge creating new courts for New Orleans.

What evidence has the LA state legislature given us that they would act our citizen’s best interests? I’m voting no on all 4 today.

Hate that, because they’ve been the most honest commentary since the election. And JVL has been the closest to a correct prediction of anyone.

Boo. Hit them on all things, because they all matter. Fox News didn’t deliberate on whether they should spend a day trashing Obama’s tan suit-gate. It’s 24 hour news programming. Go after him for all of it.

Good. I would think (hope) that he has some assurances from the EU that they’ll support Ukraine.

A lot of us New Orleanians are just waking up to this and wondering if any of our friends were killed leaving work last night. If you see this and your first reaction is about Luigi or whether they called it terrorism 4 hours after the incident (which they’ve corrected), I do wish you’d chill.

Several explosive devices found in his vehicle and another just found on Bourbon and detonated.
