In the image, paying $9 markup at McDonalds is not a worse decision than paying $15 markup at Chili’s. Your bank account carries a balance of remaining dollars, not percentage markups avoided.

If you’ve gotta spend all night with something, might as well like the way it looks.

If there’s any sense to be made wouldn’t the AM roll over at the same time the digits rolled over?

Wouldn’t they just respond that the exception proves the rule and that’s why it got green lit as a show concept?

I favor the no extra talking solution. Chat it up in your practice games, get the EDH experience, etc. there. cEDH tourneys have too many unresolvable issues driven by yapping.

In a shared clock paper event like this I think not bolting them in order to drain clock is unethical.

Iconic duo of “That’s just my opinion” + shitty opinion

Ya even if the causation is reversed I think it sounds fine, since I also hear it as correlation. “The people who pay their parking tickets tend to have higher bank account balances than those who don’t.” Doesn’t sound incoherent and certainly doesn’t imply paying tickets generates cash.

My issue is that I considered that Saving Building Fallers = SBF and once those three letters are part of the analysis it’s game over unless I’m willing to defend fraud and deception.

I personally think Lapse is stronger in a vacuum because of how much stronger it is when opponent has enough mana to replay what you’re targeting. Could still be worse in that deck but general evaluation.

Every time I've seen it in play, one of the players has concluded within a turn cycle that there's no reason for the game to continue.

I don't know why you're assuming it's good practice/philosophy. You're going to rehire less valuable talent disproportionately and you've lost trust with everyone involved while demonstrating what you don't know rather than that you possess the ability to learn first, then act.

A lot of work to get End Raze Forerunners accepted at a 1 table but it works I guess.

Sure but if your neighbor gets caught selling drugs and everyone starts calling your street the drug dealer street, 1) that isn’t a bigger problem than drugs, but also 2) your street’s problem is one of correcting perceptions not identifying drug dealers.

It worked so well on the campaign trail that they want to do it again during the administration.

Searching a library is usually a fun killer in these types of formats. Removed surprise from those unaware of what’s in the deck in addition to just locating the most broken stuff repeatedly.
