Mamdani has local ads and sidewalk chalk messages, Cuomo has billionaire endorsements and airplanes. Kinda gives you a sense of who's representing what.

We already follow its demands without asking questions. Just slip in a few "Worship it"s and we're toast.

It's easier to drain a river than to google search. (The sad part is that somehow Google is insistent on making this is actually becoming closer to the truth.)

How many steps away are we from NYT headlines just being 'trump admin says words about thing.'

I was filming an after party for a basketball hall of fame event. I was standing too much in people's way as they entered...Charles Barkley walked in and pretty much body checked me. I'm 99% sure he didn't do it on purpose or notice and I got a somewhat interesting story out of it.

"some people there annoy me so instead I'll go swim in a toxic lake full of syringes while loudly complaining about slight annoyances" current political atmosphere in a nutshell

Well that's certainly one way to characterize what happened.

Considering he purposefully sent the national guard and then Marines to escalate what was a handful of relatively minor home Depot parking lot protests ... I guess he's technically not wrong.

I would reply to this but for that I would have to read a blue sky post. I'm very smart and know no one does that.

I mean, to be fair it'd be an improvement. (To be incredibly clear because micro blogging social media doesn't allow for strangers to have subtlety, I'm not exactly being sarcastic but cheekily commenting on the sorry state of our political reality. I'm not for this. Good day.)

Ah yes the AI industry right now is so hot because it 'describes' the things it's trained on. Revolutionary!

Totally understand. Walking into a store and not being able to just grab everything I want I leave really kills my business model of doing whatever the fuck I want. Society is horrible.

But legally sure, we've shown that our legal system is completely incapable of functioning and warps around trump in the past decade. Tweet style discourse doesn't help.

Well there's your schism. Law doesn't equal morality. Corrupt means different things in different contexts. It's clearly morally corrupt, and laughably beyond that which is why the statement being made that were at 'maybe' levels sounds insane.

Lack of due process is an 'over correction'?literally of what. Of 'cancel culture'? Do they think history started with the me too movement or something like what do they think that was a response to, the insistence that individuals and citizens hold people accountable for their actions when -

I see that x/twitter ruined the perception of checkmarks so much that people instinctively assume it's a bad thing. Honestly a bit annoyed that BSky keeps wholesale scraping things from old twitter instead of trying to improve on what was not a perfect social media site even before Elon trashed it

So... what the hell is the point of stating basically "hey there may be more to this..." while also saying "...but whatever kill the dude I don't care". Seems like a pretty shitty way to run things.

The preference of software altered footage to the real deal or worse not even realizing there was ever a difference. Seeing something and just going "huh that looks different but I won't think about why... I like different that means it's better! "
