This reads like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. I would expect this in North Korea. I don’t see how any scientist in Canada or elsewhere would feel safe in visiting 🇺🇸 for scientific meetings, collaborations or any work. It is irresponsible for any scientific society to organize meetings there.

Like he says. Open to all users across the country and beyond.

the Mesoscopic Integrated Neuroimaging Data (MIND) platform will soon be opening also for outside researchers leveraging our new 15.2 T 🐁 MRI, SHIELD clearing and fully upgraded lightsheet microscope plus computational resources developed by @neuroak.bsky.social to handle large datasets.

Great news just announced. @neuroak.bsky.social is leading a new funded @braincanada.bsky.social platform that promises to revolutionize the study of neurodegeneration by tackling Patho-connectomics Merging MRI and lightsheet analysis in new models of disease www.schulich.uwo.ca/about/news-e...

Congratulations to Samina Panjwani on successfully defending her Masters thesis at @westernu.bsky.social today! Amazing work! @timbussey.bsky.social @lisasaksida.bsky.social @maximoprado.bsky.social

The pro-life folks love to increase suicide rates and anguish on young people.

Illinois has enshrined protections to meet this very moment. In a time of increasing overreach and hateful rhetoric, it's more important than ever to reaffirm our commitment to the rights and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community. You have a home here always.

great summary of the bike and its role in the women’s suffrage movement “woman is riding to suffrage on the bicycle” youtu.be/LPLJgkVsXpE?...

We're excited share our perspective on whether you only use 10 bits/s of your brain.

Synergism in action: the Mesoscopic Integrated NeuroImaging Data (MIND) platform, also a partnering research group of TRIDENT. 🌎🧠😍 #fluorescencefriday

Stay tuned! Brain Canada’s Platform Support Grants (PSG) flagship program is launching later this month with registration forms due towards the end of July! This exciting program helps us make meaningful progress in neuroscience and mental health research through improved research platforms.

come and work with my colleague @neuroak.bsky.social This is a major collaborative initiative that combines our state of the art imaging facilities. Ideal for someone who just finished a PhD. In science 🧪-friendly 🇨🇦. these facilities are well funded for the next 3 years.

Always amazing to see a former post doc popping up unexpectedly on your social media feed Go Helena (She is also a great scientist working on cholinergic regulation of striatal function ).

Announcing an official fundraising campaign to support my lab’s research on APOE4 and Alzheimer’s disease: joinus.cuimc.columbia.edu/participant/.... This campaign is itself an experiment of sorts. But mostly, it's an attempt to save my lab during an unprecedented time of turmoil in academia. 1/9

Here is a link to a good CNN story including an interview with two of the NIH folks who wrote the #BethesdaDeclaration and stood up. More bravery facing the cameras. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD8y...

Vaccines are rigorously tested, they are effective, and they save lives. More than 150 million lives have been saved in the past 50 years thanks to vaccines! But you may be worried about what's in them? So, let’s break it down ⬇

Courageous folks, given all the potential for retaliations. Also note that many signed as anonymous, which highlights the sad state of the USA The declaration lists all the chaos created in biomedical research Bravo www.standupforscience.net/bethesda-dec...

No evidence of immune exhaustion after repeated SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in vulnerable and healthy populations Does repeated vaccination cause "immune exhaustion"? No, the immune system can handle multiple hits from similar or different stimuli. It evolved to do so! www.nature.com/artic... 1/5
