A recent Quinnipiac poll found that 60% of Democrats sympathize more than Palestinians, while only 12% sympathize more with Israelis.
But the same poll also found that 83% of Democrats believe prejudice against Jews is a serious problem in the U.S.! poll.qu.edu/images/polli...

The key thing to understand about Zohran and an increasing number of Democrats – including a majority of young Democrats and many young Jews – is that they (correctly) see no connection between protecting Jewish safety in the U.S. and supporting the state of Israel.

Penumbras is the shit that a moral and decent version of the American Constitution would have but doesn’t, because it was just supposed to be the rules of a currency/trade union, instead of the core moral document for a worldwide empire

the difficult thing for a lot of legal experts to comprehend is that the part you understand is often not the important part

Like I don't like AI either, but in trying to satirize how moronic these guys are, it accidentally buys a lot of their premises. Like, the causes of violence in the world are COMPLEX, usually decades or centuries-long processes! Fake videos don't immediately cause global states of emergency!

Dems in '22: If Trump comes back into power, we'll need the courts to be an independent check on his authority, so to preserve their legitimacy for that situation, we have to just defer to them and do nothing. :)

Nothing about campaign finance is ever “natural,” because neither elections nor the financial system occur in nature. Every part of it is therefore subject to change and restructuring as the democratic polity sees fit, yes?

Just because something is common doesn’t mean it should or must be acceptable. If your comment is meant to convey that (1) this is common, so (2) no one should be surprised, so (3) no one should criticize, then I think you’re conflating a political phenomenon being common with it being “natural.”

Mamdani did not call for attacks on Jewish people; he did not demonize Jewish people; he did not engage in hate speech targeting Jewish people. there is no way in which New York City is less safe for Jewish people under Mamdani than it was before. the whole thing is nonsense.

What is the point of having a constitution if it allows this? “Humans should not be subjected to torture” is an extremely basic principle that should never have to be explained or justified.

Not incidentally, the election when boomers first got one of their own in office, who ran on reconciling a melting-pot view of civil rights with further enriching the newly propertied. The Dems have been the party of white suburban homeowners ever since.

In so many ways, Democrats have allowed their party to become defined exclusively by the 1992 presidential election.
