Ok so as I wrote in my other reply, Reza wouldn't draw divine authority. But it is true that Israel is being undermined democratically — opposition is being suppressed by Netanyahu and he continues his efforts to undermine the courts. He and his religious-extremist terrorist colleagues need to go.

Okay, I'll admit my mistake here. I think I may have misinterpreted some reporting 😅. Reza seems to be in favour of greater tolerance and democracy — and most importantly, he suggests he wouldn't stay as leader after a 'transition period'. That is my mistake. He exemplifies values of unity & peace

So we're making assumptions now. While I don't believe Israel's actions are moral, I do respect their independence as a country. Unfortunately, Bibi has been undermining Israeli democracy for years now.
And returning the king to Iran would literally replace one god-appointed leader with another.

I appreciate your concern, but a return to Pahlavi rule is not the best outcome from Iran. You seem to be an Israel-supporting liberal (a position I don't agree with but I respect). Undoubtedly the best outcome for Iran (and Israel) is to have a true liberal democracy — that means no king.

1) This post is some of the most obvious satire I've seen on the internet today, and 2) the Pahlavi dynasty (whose values Reza still stands for) marred Iran with repression, corruption, and a lack of political freedom.

I'm quite sure it's pretty damn accurate but you just can't be too sure, AI has done way too much hallucination to be a proper source. It does look like a fair summary though

Yes! I've also been using it and I love how natural the colours are, they're really deep and immersive.

I'm sure there are Russian assets (besides Trump himself) in the WH (maybe even this Gor man himself), but I'm not convinced that a conspiracy theory AI chatbot response is the best way to evidence the theory.

I have heard of this where cops go in to bust bikie gangs & organised crime, so they reduce the risk of retaliation & being tracked down. But given ICE seems to be doing its very best to avoid actual criminals and just targets hardworking normal people, nothing legitimate about this.

There's still a lot of love for these old things, particularly among social media creators. Mostly because they're cheap, and because the inbuilt microphone is convenient & high quality.

It's what I find the worst really, they have power based on the (quite frankly good) idea that they could remove serious criminals from the country — it should reduce criminal cases and overall economic costs. Instead, they are just going after regular people who actually contribute to the economy.

Regular cops don’t kidnap people without presenting identification, and don’t arrest people exercising their rights and filming it. These are closer to the acts of a domestic terror gang, not a policing organisation.

Yeah eventually they’ll run out of hardworking immigrants and they’ll have to start arresting ACTUAL gang members — at which point ICE agents should watch their backs

Maybe it still is haha, Trump acted explicitly against the advice of his intelligence community. MTG is already calling him out, I wouldn’t be shocked to see further dissent from within the national security and intelligence portfolios.

Which — let's be clear — is the peak of irony. 'Appeal to heaven' is an expression of the right to rebellion, that the people have the right to overthrow a tyrant. So the government is actively calling for their own overthrow? Perhaps not the angle they were going for, but a very apt one nonetheless

Of course, I know political prosecution is a serious threat — he's already used it to threaten the arrests of California's governor and LA's mayor. But surely, all it takes is one progressive state with loyal law enforcement to deny corrupt prosecution...

I don't understand why anything he does stands — it is mostly unprecedented, outside of the conventional powers of the President. It would be incredibly easy to just ignore the false commissions of a traitorous government.

Is this just because Russia has a Victory Day holiday, and Trump heard about it?

Oh! And they’ve added the river back in (a common complaint with the current map), and made it more clear that the Yanchep & Mandurah lines throughrun. #Transperth #trains #transit

Also, the Bayswater – Claremont/Daglish section would have track duplicated to run more frequent trains. I have probably made some mistakes bc I am not familiar with all of Perth (or with transit planning) so please forgive me haha. I did remove, rename, or relocate/rebuild several stations as well.

Oh, footnotes: The Fremantle and Midland lines through-run, as do the Armadale and Wanneroo lines (via a new dive tunnel to North Perth). Most of the trams would be constructed in road reserve, some would run in tunnels for some way, and there would probably be more inner-city trams than pictured.

Which in and of itself is a massive improvement over the network pre-2018, imagine just the Joondalup (green), Mandurah (orange), Midland (plum), Fremantle (dark blue), and Armadale (yellow, with Thornlie station as a spur).

I’ve been asking this all day! Australia has (used to have, now, I suppose) a free trade agreement with the US. That means zero tariffs, so how is 10% ‘reciprocal‘? Although, I suppose we can’t expect rationality from Trump.

People here in Australia definitely complain about the 'nanny state' or whatever, normal crap about 'the cops are just revenue raising,' but I'm certain our phone ticketing system has changed driver behaviour in at least some way (especially combined with advertising as well).

I hear it a lot on Instagram: 'so much for the tolerant left', 'the left are all hateful'.
I'm tolerant of divergent political beliefs, but I'm not tolerant when people are advocating for gross violations of human rights and basic dignities. That's where I draw a line.

THAT'S how we get him. Democratic states need to pass preemptive legislation against this now, for state elections and bodies. At some point, Elon will slip up – he's an egotistical maniac running off ket.
Then, you arrest him for state offenses, give him his trial, then lock him up.

*I meant 1380.
I'm not debating the validity of the argument in any way, just a Greenlandic history nerd being a little annoyed by the implications of the second paragraph :)
Because after the 15th century, there are few reliable narratives to indicate a Norse Greenlandic presence, until the Danes

'Under the Danish crown' is very different to 'under Danish control' – the population of Norse Greenlanders, established by Norse explorers in the 10th century, has no connection to the Danish control of Greenland today.
In fact, 1368 is within the period of abandonment for the Western Settlement.

It's frankly impressive how Elon managed to turn a bot-addled site rife with political debate, into a site suffocating in bots which is an ultraconservative toxic propaganda channel.
And in doing so drive away all but the most chronically online users, and tank its valuation and relevance.

I'm genuinely interested – how many US service members would actually participate in an invasion of Canada? Surely some would have morals enough – or failing that, connections to Canada – to have a heavy conscience on it. Perhaps even heavy enough to disobey orders from a known traitor?
