Funny, I just got new glasses from the VA last month and while I was getting my exam the technician said, your cataracts haven't changed. & I said, I never knew I had cataracts & she said, what you have, is nothing to worry about. (whatever that means)

There was a nightclub in Buffalo that I used to talk about all the time while I was in nam , The Inferno. one day a fellow soldier showed me an article in the Stars & Stripes, with the headline, The Inferno lives up to its name. It burned down. my friend said, I guess you'll have to stay in the Army.

I also picked up a record with Tennessee Williams reading Crane's poetry. i would put the record on before going to bed and Tennessee would lull me to sleep. Funny though, my professor loved that I chose Crane..he actually did his dissertation on him. My God, this was so long ago, it was fun though.

I was given a ticket to see Streetcar Named Desire here at the Studio Arena in Buffalo, NY. Jon Voight played Stanley Kowalski & Betsy Palmer played Blanche DuBois. the seat was so close to the stage that I felt like I was intruding in their arguments. Acrually scary. .
