That looks a bit like the fencing response, not good.

No idea about whether or not that that vehicle is EV or not. Just saying that in collisions mass is a factor and EVs tend to be heavier with the same chassis. The design of the car is offensive to me, as it plays on percieved safety while being worse for everyone all other times.

Any transportation mode has advantages and disadvantages and designing cities with valid choices means that for destinations with less of a time commitment (like going to a park on a weekend) can be done with a safer, slower option that contributes to traffic less.

Sound can only do so much; those of hard of hearing, music, or just road noise (sirens, road work, horns, etc.) can tax attention. In addition that driving can be pretty boring so attention is not being appropriately spent. Road design can go a long way to prevent issues, but I try to avoid cars.

Fair enough about the weight from EVs. Point still stands about the speed and shape of the hood (which impacts visibility, how pedestrians roll away from the accident, even how other cars collisions impact the occupants of those involved). Electric cars do trade one problem with another.

The real question is what happens if it straddles the border between states or hits a swing state? Does that mean God is directing anger at bisexuals or that it's the Independents turn at the weather control machines?

Isn't this still an argument for smaller cars? Collisions would be less extreme with smaller cars and also with less acceleration capability. Even speed governors.

I would argue that leftists never forgive and forget and it goes on a spectrum all the way to ultra MAGA, who seem to have a memory of a goldfish. Unfortunately for Elon the eco-oriented stuff is a lefty thing, so....

This is part of why I am such an advocate for bike lanes; they are transportation for all ages and almost all income levels. The bike lanes also have a smaller chance of being hit by the massive cars these days.

I like@ to watch a dude under the handle of Nookrium. He tends to play games with a lot of replayability so his videos tend to work as a good showcase of how the gameplay works but doesnt spoil your own playthrough. If you like the gameplay loop then get the game!

All of the unnecessary suffering and death around the world and this is what some people lose their fucking minds on? Whether or not someone has extra bits and bobs? These pearl clutchers are delusional.

I don't know how one can't at least feel remorse for innocents and generally be against starving an entire population, even if they are the "enemy". Like show some humanity and empathy, fuck.

Transitions are hard, okay? Also timers are an often used tool in our house.

It's like city planners decided that their favorite design in the whole wide world is the stroad.

But like the mythical "everything app", I think a GenAI knowing everything about everything and being good at everything is a pipe dream.

The closest thing I can think of is like a general doctor that refers to specialists, if GenAI could process some input then if it doesn't know it refers to more specific AIs or actually does research then it would be more useful.

All those points are disjointed, except that they are all apparently against the will of the regime. The closest thing that is a political point in that list is the dig at affirmative action. Everything else isn't a thing that one can really control.

I saw not too long ago that there were photographed ICE officers in plainclothes waiting in a Seattle courthouse hallway to arrest people. It is nearby, just less full-throated than other places in the country.

We collectively didn't care during Covid, why is this time any different?

Around that time there were just the native tribes in the land of the United States. Should the US give all that land back?
