I was gonna go to that one, but they organized here in Palatine within walking distance, so I was there. Kinda wish I’d gone to AH!

American tourists overseas are the worst. I’m embarrassed every time I travel, though I work as hard as possible to not be those people and to prove to the world we’re not all like that.

So, I’ve thought that the way to tell normal people from crazies is that normal people question the possibility that they’re the crazies, while the crazies insist they’re normal and couldn’t possibly be crazy. So the fact you’re thinking about an echo chamber means you’re not in/cultivating one.

I’m not psychic, so I’m not sure what you’ll find, but back in the 70s-80s, my Dad & his partner had a 100% clearance rate (they didn’t know at the time - someone later analyzed). Not all theirs resulted in arrests/charges. Gang wars meant sometimes the next case was the offender for the last one.

I want to make sure I keep my handle. But I’m also a Community Notes-er, so I go back once per day to play Whack-a-Mole until I can’t take it anymore. Then I come back here.
