The various parts of the Apollo system were built by different contractors, but they all worked together. And now we've had astronauts stuck in space for the thick end of a year because proprietary space suit connections, there are only two contractors and one of them's Boeing.

I feel that way about tequila, but that's down to overindulgence. Same reason my dad hates rum, he tried to keep up with the Royal Navy back in the days of the rum ration...

There are two channels on it I care about, and they both get reposted to tumblr enough that I don't need to be on TikTok for them: shouty baking twink and the goddamned chocolate guy.

Well, that sold me a copy of the first one immediately, I'm really liking the vibes of "all the old school games with Serious Sam forward".

Huh. That's interesting, and pretty on-brand for institutional American exceptionalism.

America doesn't do "vaccinate everyone against TB". Your combo pack won't have included TB.

I didn't have my records with me because of reasons, so I got the whole lot as well. Though you wouldn't have got TB in the States, they don't vaccinate for it. Which means I'm going to need a chest x-ray to volunteer at my kid's school, I'll come up hot because I did get a TB vaccine.

I have a standing policy of "whenever offered a vaccine, say yes".

It's an impressive achievement to go from zero to "fuck everything this guy's touched" in one shitty hat choice.

Yeah. If Elon had any acting ability, he'd be much better at pretending he wasn't high...

I noped out of a book set in my area because a character who was working at Denny's would've passed two other Denny's on their commute.

And we just wrapped up the whole deal. Kind of amazing that it's a one-person job! Gonna let the glue set overnight, I think, and leave the windows just barely open to let the fumes out.

Especially because they keep coming up with more utter bollocks that people are going to expect you to include.

Then you can make the assumption that it was designed that way with a clear conscience.

Depends a lot on construction details, you could design a robot to be able to do it without damage but that would need to be an objective in the design phase.

Give it a few centuries and they'll be talking about the 1914-1945 war.
