What were your thoughts?

No, I agree with you here, and I'm not claiming otherwise. The second any news network starts telling you to feel angry, then there's a problem. I'll be the first to admit that it can be hard sometimes, but I try to apply critical thinking to any media I'm exposed to.

I don't know if it will, either. I hope it does, but as you said, we shall see. Whether you lay roots here like I am or not, I wish you the best of luck - and I hope you find some peace.

About repercussions - It's not about banning or silencing, it's about supportingg an environment where engagement isn't just driven by who can piss people off the most. That’s not free speech, that’s just a circus lol

There’s a difference between people naturally engaging with valuable content and a system incentivizing chaos. And let’s be real, you know as well as I do that outrage clicks aren't the same thing as meaningful discourse. Just like you are here to say "Suck it libs!" on your post.

Who decides? The audience chooses by how they engage with the content. But when the platform itself starts rewarding shock-jock behaviour over genuine conversation, it stops being about free speech and starts being about who can yell the loudest for profit.

I'm a Canadian who aligns with socially far-left wing policies, and even I got annoyed by left-leaning engagement farm "occupy democrat" accounts that were getting massive followings on twitter too. I feel like this place is a good start, and may end up becoming what Twitter used to be.

Not sure you're actually here for legit discussion but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm here more is due to engagement farms on x. Buy a blue check, say something controversial without repercussion, get rewarded with engagement & the potential to earn $. That's not a natural ecosystem.

Free will is cool and all, but maybe you should've supplied a user manual. Damnit, God.

Just to add, this mentality of making leaders flawless/bulletproof is dangerous, Criticism is a healthy part of a democracy. Also, We can't change conservative or conservative thoughts, so why wouldn't we look inwards at how we can improve? /endrant

Ignoring flaws and treating criticism as a distraction only leads us down the same road of missed opportunities and failures. We need to be honest about where things aren’t working and hold leaders accountable if we want real progress.
