Ooh. That was a promise they didn’t fulfill last year. Interesting if they did it and just didn’t tell anyone. More interesting is that the note is now deleted! Did it even happen at all?!?

What was the deleted post? I still miss Renel too.

That was extremely weird.

I’m shocked. SHOCKED.

Moana’ed it. I buy it.

It’s clearly AI. Three beaches were destroyed in the making of this image. :)

I have many, many prayers.

I don’t think anyone is missing anything. There are several comedians who host talk shows for hundreds or millions of people. Most of them aren’t as good. Craig was just on a different level.

Jimmy Fallon has been a talk show host for a very long time and his interview skills are still terrible. Craig Ferguson rarely stuck to the scripted talking points and was just great at listening, bantering and making conversation.

I feel like every opportunity Disney had with that film, they made the wrong choice. In the end everything was just so wrong there was nothing they could do to fix it.

Go Dodgers.

Pablo Sandoval was almost certainly going to do this in Bochy’s last season with the Giants. He was an infielder, former catcher and had a few pitching innings too. Sadly, he got hurt.

Cardinals would never pick a Cubs Pope

I don’t know why, but the NFL draft attracts *hundreds of thousands* of people. The 2024 draft had 750,000 people; 2025 had 600K. They claim it’ll be a million next year.

Ha ha ha, that’s LL Cool J, of Mama Said Knock You Out fame (among others).

Born and raised American and I have never heard of Christmas pencils before right now. Christmas-themed pencils? Pencils you get on Christmas? Christmas-themed pencils you get on Christmas?

Warriors in six. :) Draymond will miss one game due to techs or flagrants. Rudy Gobert will be the cause.

She can’t vote. Her naturalized citizen husband though… fair bet that he did, given Florida Cuban’s support of Trump.

This is a wild and highly unsubstantiated theory, but she didn’t seem incredibly happy on draft night to be coming here. Maybe this is more cutting their losses and working with players who are committed to the team? It’s very bizarre.

I have not studied all the cardinals, but I would be very surprised if there really was a young and buff papal candidate. But the idea is hilarious so I hope that’s who we get. (Actually I hope we get someone who loves people, like Francis.)

Yesterday I saw a frosted glass desk from what looked like the early 2000s advertised as “mid-century modern.”

It would have been interesting to see how a narrative changes with the needs/strengths of the new medium vs strict adherence to the original. But I also wish more adaptations took their own initiative.

I didn’t like that either, but I have a TON of respect for what she’s trying to do at that network.

What’s with the platform? Apologies, I can’t find anything about it.

I like the bow and arrow! And I liked R-evolution when it was in Petaluma. I’m not sure she fits that well on the Embarcadero, but I haven’t seen it for myself.

It’s horrible.

I don’t think he was alive for more than a day or two after arriving in El Salvador. The only way out of this is to continue to lie, deny, distract and defy until people forget.

Leo Ryan was with 29 other people when he and four others were shot and killed. It was an ambush as they were getting on the planes to leave.

I assume he gets paid for the engagement, too, which I fully support.

Yeah, there was never a “before” with him. The first time I heard of him I thought he sounded horrible and insane. Nothing has changed my perception of him since.

He’s always had a penchant for self-inflicted wounds and bad personal judgement. He’s just managed to escape any long-term political repercussions. I feel like this too will be forgotten in a couple of years, just like everything else.

Saw a Reddit post from a guy who supposedly knows a real life NFL long snapper who theorized it was Pepper’s blocking after the snap. We had a couple blocked kicks that came from that side. I have zero idea if this is accurate, but it’s better than “he’s too woke.”

Why does it feel odd? Maybe it’s just because I enjoy classical music, but I thought this lacrimosa/requiem piece was a great choice. Especially a piece central to an Oscar-winning film, written by a composer who died too young, his work incomplete.

Mozart is tacky and tasteless?

So, in a news story it says it was a pair of Hitler Youth knives. I looked that up and it’s a straight up Nazi swastika over a diamond pattern. It’s not like an ambiguous eagle or something. Zero way they were “confused” by it.

There are apparently military helicopters constantly zipping around DC at all hours of the day and night. How else are they supposed to train to make these flights at night except by making the flights at night?

It’s the people working in DEIA and environmental job titles/roles, I think, if I read it correctly. So, it’s not people they have deemed hired because of DEIA policies. (Yet?)

Oh, that’s interesting. Thank you!

I did not think that was gonna be the big news, lol. But good luck to him in the future!

What’s happening? Haven’t seen any news except that Tyler Cyr retired.

I expect Trump will want to generate excitement, pride and uber-patriotism so close to November elections. He’ll want huge crowds, the biggest crowds in history. Men and women weeping and thanking him for such a beautiful Games…
comment in response to post
I don’t think the games are at any risk regardless. Even if so, you think Trump would subject himself to worldwide ridicule as the leader who let the Olympics fail? Never.
