No shit! Actually might watch it tomorrow...

Holy heck what a way to end andor... I'm in tears. Wish they could retcon the ending of rogue one!

So I had to take everything I don't to the printnc apart to reduce the X frame by 3cm.... Now drilling new holes ....

@jeffgeerling.com just watched the video on the Orion motherboard... Impressive specs on paper. Shame about the software but by this point I feel that's typical now for nearly all arm socs. Even now the rk3588 isn't fully supported in software yet. But on paper that chip looks great. And made me

This evening I've been revisiting a charge controller circuit for my studio light project I want to update on patreon. And I realised I put an nfet between ground and the battery negative terminal and I can't figure out what I was thinking. What's worse it actually brakes the design.

Just what's this week's andor second episode.... Spoilers..... Well there goes one redemption arc I hoped for. It's a real shame I thought he really grown as a character. Anyway.... Star wars. A space fantasy sci-fi. Has absolutely no right being this good!

I've just found out one of my favourite music artists in recent times Starcadian has passed away after a bike accident. If you don't know them please look them up. Their music is amazing and deserves massive recognition. As a rider myself please if you ride, stay safe out there.

Soooo I'm now looking for a new job. Anyone want a remote skilled PCB designer and embedded firmware engineer? Im UK based and will be looking for average UK rates for middle to senior level role. Availability in about a month....

3rd episode into andor.... 😭

Nightmare at work today trying to get a direct rgmii Mac to Mac connection working and failing.... And went to check print I started this morning. It failed. And the retention arm broke. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUK! I did not need this.

As I try to figure out how to clutch engage with the time line motor I realise.... Electro mechanics is a dying art form. Because we rarely use complex things like tapes and even spinning disks (to a lesser degree) it feels like all those skills are disappearing...

Despite having a cold trying to kill me right now... I've been starting to put together the winamp circuit prototype pcb... This is far from finished. But more a circuit proof of concept before I take it to a more complex muilti board design...

Just watched calister into infinity... That was epic!

I'm having bad thoughts again about making a custom spring leaver gear engaging solenoid. Why do I do this to myself! Been designing the circuit to drive the timeline motor on the winamp project again. And realising I'm going to need a really geared down motor to drive the bar accurately.

Watched capt America brave new world last night.... Ok wow.... That was not good! All the actings fine and what not. But as a whole the film was utterly meh. Stakes never felt real or earned and the twists were pretty much pointless and could be spotted miles off.... Winter soldier this is not.

Unpopular opinion... Chatgpt has a place in development... But it's far from the be all and end all. I'm actually starting to get a bit miffed with our senior Linux dev relying on gpt far too much which has caused so much broken code. I think gpt is useful for rubber ducking and occasionally

Fuck! Even ripped the sock and light off

So ... Autism has it's upsides. Depending on the level you have it. Like dyslexia which I also have. It forces you to think differently. This can be a positive as it allows us to see solutions others might not. What are the upsides to ADHD? That is a bane of my life!

Cries... Everything I said about clock speed was all wrong. We forced it to 10khz. And still not working. Found one other potential cause but doging a pullup on a reset line didn't solve it either.

So that's been a journey... I have some idea what's going on now but I have no clue why and it's still utterly insane and confusing. So good known working camera on PCB Ive been brining up last few weeks consistently works. Where other camera do not. But on new PCB, the good camera also doesn't work
