I just think he was very overrated. Sure he did advocate peaceful resolutions, but he did it while people fought tooth and nail, and he got the credit for it all in hindsight.
The empire starved like ten million people so I'm not sure they cared about Gandhi as much as the insurgents.

Yes. And who ever heard of the bengali famine or the irish potato famine? Far too obscure I guess?

That's true. But there were quite a few Indians who put up armed resistance against the empire, and I suspect that had a lot more to do with the liberation of India than a racist creep starving himself.
By creep I am referring to his experiments in self-control by sleeping next to naked girls.

Gandhi is a pretty terrible figure of resistance.
The notion his hunger strikes mattered to the british empire is kind of hilarious, when they starved millions.

That's not the other way around. That's the same point I'm making - but I'm saying it's present throughout a lot of animals, not just us.

And Katie J testified to them doing it to her at age 13, I seem to recall it was? Them being Trump and Epstein.

Brings to mind the night watch novel in the discworld series, and the cable street particulars.
..and we know what happened to them.
The scouring of the house of pain.

I wouldn't mind if they got physical as long as it was with one another.
But yes, it would spill out and target others. Then again it already is.

Not necessarily, but possibly an admission.

Anarchy has some structure - not hierarchy though - and is heavily based on consent to my understanding.
But I agree it seems like an odd word here.

Still pretty normal to be put through lots of bullying and violence for being redheaded at school.
My own first day of elementary, most of the other boys in class ganged up on me and almost killed me.
Pinned me down and kicked me in the head, with a good run-up.
Cool stuff.

We aren't black, but for a while we weren't really white either.
They burned us alive and accused us of being in league with the devil, and of all sorts of stuff.
It's still considered fine to say things like 'red headed step child' as the ultimate expression of someone being undesired.

“We will respond proportionally and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose.”

So far it seems to be: if you're white and live in the americas, then you're a colonial abuser, because even if you oppose the genocide, you benefitted even if indirectly.
..but if you aren't white, then you're not, even if you in some few cases actively participated in genocide.
Am i mistaken?
comment in response to
post
Hmm.
What did I say that was 'whitesplaining' here exactly?
Was it when I said other minorities have participated in genocide? Or was it when I pointed out that she moved the goalposts?
I just want to understand the standard by which she's judging.

I too like to disregard half of what people say and respond with memes rather than substance. Almost as much as I enjoy the irony of you calling me a klansman for not being on board with blanket-condemnation based on skin color.
