No parenting experience, I have four kids you dipshit
comment in response to post
So you would rather trust the federal government to police it rather than a parent? Jesus Christ bro, are you a parody?
comment in response to post
However the mere suggestion for parents to parent their kids, which is the obvious answer to this problem, was too ridiculous for you to imagine, so I think it's time for me to stop pretending you're anything more than an idiot or a troll. Have a great day, don't accidentally stumble into a sex shop
comment in response to post
Would, I personally? Well, should I ever find myself the arbiter of the situation you described, then of course I wouldn't. However, considering the nature of the internet, your suggestion is akin to making sure a child doesn't leave the house for fear they may stumble into a sex store.
comment in response to post
No one is suggesting we have children watch hardcore porn. But your suggestion that this poorly written and overreaching piece of shit legislation is the answer and going to solve this issue is as stupid as it is dangerous.
comment in response to post
You work in tech, but obviously not legal. The third party would need to store the IDs in order to comply with the law- so if challenged, they can display proof of compliance

When she emails me, half the time the fbi, her local police, a half dozen random people, and like Fox News are all CC'd
comment in response to post
I'll let you know if I do?
comment in response to post
Ok, so let's play game- what company would you suggest store your ID? Also, since your ID would be linked to what porn is being watched, what's to stop people from being outed as gay, or blackmailed with that info? Just curious how you think that would work out
comment in response to post
Ok, so actual lived experience getting decent legislation passed regarding content is nonsense... ok good to know, thank you for your input, man-on-the-internet™️
comment in response to post
At least I fucking hope not. Shit I better knock on wood
comment in response to post
Yeah they're never going to make that stick
comment in response to post
Oh god don't get me started, I'll leave that privacy disaster for someone better educated in those validators to explain
comment in response to post
If I went into how these laws harm sex workers, I would need a blog instead of a thread. It's so frustrating and these laws are so bad, from literally every single angle they're viewed from
comment in response to post
But also thanks to POTUS, anything resembling that could be deemed inappropriate by parents and they can make the choice to not allow their children to participate. Anyway, I'm really tired of lawmakers continuing to pass laws that benefit no one but give them a chance to virtue signal for Jesus
comment in response to post
Since I don't like to issue criticism without offering solutions- I think a better way of "protecting children" would be through a comprehensive k-12 sex ed program that covers consent, online safety, safe sex, and encourages healthy discussions with parents around these topics.
comment in response to post
Sorry, but also- I wasn't exaggerating.
comment in response to post
That's one way of looking at it- I happen to know of a dozen websites off the top of my head that will remain unchanged and accessible to anyone with an internet connection, filled with illegal content. That's who wins in these cases- exploitation profiteers
comment in response to post
So, anyway, we as a country need to stop falling for the "overreaching censorship laws wrapped in the guise of protecting children" shtick that conservative lawmakers keep trying to pull. It helps no one, and often harms the populations that it claims to protect.
comment in response to post
But the fact is, that these laws end up contributing to the exploitation of minors. They drive people to the seedier parts of the internet, to websites with zero moderation, which can mean illegal porn, malware/spyware, and other harm. There's also a ton of implications on free speech and privacy.
comment in response to post
So essentially, all these ID laws do, is make the adult content on the internet less safe, and allows websites that don't care about whether their content is consensual and legal, to thrive. On the surface, laws that require IDs for adult content "help kids",
comment in response to post
There's a lot of demonization around sites like Pornhub, but they do have a staff that actively works to keep the content hosted on their site legal. The shady websites literally do not care if they're hosting illegal content, and if minors are viewing it.
comment in response to post
They're more likely to view adult websites that are choosing not to follow the law. And those same websites often overlook OTHER laws- like the criminalization of non-consensual pornography, age limit laws, etc.
comment in response to post
What happens when these ID laws gets passed, is that larger porn websites like Pornhub simply decline to serve devices in Texas. This is easily mitigated with a vpn, and the youth KNOW THAT. But for those that don't know about VPNs, or bypassing these restrictions,

Dear god Sarah, PLEASE STOP.

I think we can mail something surprising and fun
comment in response to post
Yeah I've tried. They're very aware of her, long before I called
comment in response to post
Ooh nice find!!
comment in response to post
Dude I WISH we could all be pregnant with little obamas, the world would be a better place. Anyway, I feel worse for a guy named Eric Schultz, who used to be obamas press secretary, whom Sarah has claimed to have been dating for years. (Hint, she was not)
comment in response to post
Anyway, it's started with 3 emails already today. Luckily I have a full day planned so I won't be seeing any more, but lord, lady, get a fucking hobby. Learn to crochet. Go for a walk. Volunteer at an animal rescue. Do something offline FFS
comment in response to post
This is like the 30th address she's used, she knows to switch every once in a while because I block her
comment in response to post
It is definitely wacky. Most days, I think it's funny as hell. She creates these extremely creative narratives about me and my life (like, that I have hacked her entire ecosystem, or that I'm pregnant with obamas baby) and they're usually pretty funny
comment in response to post
Please don't. It only makes her more aggressive and relentless.
comment in response to post
Nah, any kind of response (including me posting this sadly) only gives her the attention she craves and it gets worse. If she were to suddenly start getting weird emails, she would get so much worse because then she could be a victim
comment in response to post
No way, he's stuck with me.
comment in response to post
I mean, it's fine. It doesn't bother me usually, especially when I consider the source is some crazy lady whom I've never met. But when she sends me porn and nudes, it bothers me because it's very gross
comment in response to post
And it's all because... I have no idea. I don't know how this woman found me and started obsessing. Twitter, I guess? I might have interacted with her in the early days of this harassment, not knowing it was encouraging ALL THIS, but it's been 5 years. Sarah, I know you're seeing this, PLEASE STOP
comment in response to post
Anyway, we need better mental health resources in this country for people like her, because it's absolutely not fair to those that are the targets of this kind of abuse. It's relentless, exhausting- and she does it to SO MANY PEOPLE. She's emailed my husbands work, conferences I've spoke at, etc
comment in response to post
And part 2 of the abusive insanity that is Sarah Paul. Anyway, everytime I bring it up, she claims I'm attacking her (a disabled woman) for no reason. Also, I spoke to the police in her town, and they have also blocked her emails because she's been like this forever.
comment in response to post
I made a video about it, but this app only allows for 60 second long clips so I had to break it up. Anyway, she sends me these unhinged voice notes all the time, and this one was after I made a dress because I couldn't find one I liked in cow print. And it features just a few of her emails/tweets
comment in response to post
Oh this is just par for the course for her. She makes up all these absolutely WILD stories about my life
comment in response to post
Ugh I'm sorry you have to deal with her too!! There's a whole bunch of us that she just obsesses over 24 hours a day
comment in response to post
She just keeps making new accounts. Now they go straight to trash, but I check every once in a while just to see the wild shit she's made up about me.
