“Trump would have still won the presidency if all the people who didn’t vote actually did vote, and they voted for him.” Very insightful. News worthy, even.

I remember reading an article about judges and how they very rarely pound their gavels on real life compared to judges in TV & movies, because it means they have well and truly lost control of the room. Not sure why that popped into my head just now

Ok I agree with everything except: we don’t need borders. Borders are the reason people hate each other.

After about 3 hours, the protest came to an end. It was peaceful, and it was powerful. This is an experience I will never forget.
Do what you can, fight for what you believe in. If you’re not comfortable attending protests, find other ways to support. Donate, drive by and wave, honk your horn. ✊

I can’t even begin to describe how good it felt to be surrounded by people who want all this crazy shit to stop. People who care, people who are tired, people who want to make a change, people who understand a community is strongest when it’s united, and people who will fight to be heard.

The kid looked so happy. They waved that flag out the window the whole way down the street. Then when the next set of cars stopped in front of us, the other people around me started to give flags to kids in cars. Everyone got a flag.
Seeing the joy and support of the community, it was amazing.

A group of people were passing out free covid tests, narcan, water. There was a lady passing out flags, which I took. Someone was passing out pins.
At one point a car with a bunch of kids in it stopped in front of me and they were waving. I passed one of them the flag I got from the other lady.

Some of them had their own signs, one lady was passing out water bottles as she drove by, I was so thankful, it was super hot out. Of course there was the occasional MAGA asshole that would drive by and give us the finger, and try to pick fights, but for the most part it was all love and support.

She’s putting some signs in the ground and holding some more, sets her chair up next to me, and is chatting it up with everyone. She was saying her signs were from all these different protests she’s been to. I loved them.
Cars would drive by, everyone was honking and waving and giving thumbs ups.

Chick-fil-A is being developed, and this was the perfect place for me and my sign. I boycott chick-fil-a, even when they cater it for work. And my sign: DRAG QUEENS / NOT REAL KINGS.
Take that chick-fil-A.
I didn’t know what to do at first, but then this lady with like 5 signs and a chair comes by
