I live in the desert. I like cats and plants and bodily autonomy and Taylor and Beyoncé. I don't like cops or prisons or autocratic regimes.

I am praying for all the powers in the universe to protect this man.

Could we borrow some of that for @dejafoxx.bsky.social in AZ please?

Thank you - I am incredibly fortunate to have found a new job serving the same mission! Safe, affordable, sustainable housing for all!

Friday will be my last day @ HUD; I’m heartbroken to leave and so sad and worried for the folks that are staying. Some of the best people I’ve ever worked with. I’m wishing you well. Take care.

Are you going to draw any lessons from this about the value of "bipartisanship" with people who are hellbent on destruction? I really wish you would tell us what you plan to do differently going forward.

TBH we're better off without his votes.

No worries, Senator, I think we can get by without your bootlicking for awhile.

Ooh, the Museum of Sewers was probably my favorite thing in Paris!

Yeah, you’re right on. The rhetoric is whacko but the bullet points are very much what is typically sent out when potentially volatile activity is occurring around the field offices. It’s not that HUD employees are expected to be targeted, but they could get caught up in the turmoil.

Several of them do share buildings with immigration services.

That’s what at least some staff are worried about.

Please note that it was forwarded by Ms Udit but originated with Regional Director William Spencer, who is a political appointee.

The email is definitely unhinged, but..HUD is in the same building with immigration services in LA and Santa Ana. Folks I know in the Santa Ana building are definitely a little freaked out about potentially being caught up in the ICE/police violence.

Doesn’t look like the protesters are the ones committing assault

Seconding this request. How can you be voting to pat ICE on the back in the midst of this? I expect AZ representatives to vociferously oppose anti-immigrant rhetoric and policy.

The more they try to fascist, the more of us there are. They need to be taught that there is no winning play in the violent state suppression that they are practicing. There are too many of us.

Maybe reframe that. It IS about what you do, what I do, what we each do. It is important to be in community, but it is also meaningful to take individual action. Even if you are protesting alone on a street corner you are helping create that united front. (& it may connect you to that community)

“Tucson Electric Power confirmed workers do not use unmarked vehicles and always provide identification.” They also have a website for folks to be able to properly identify TEP workers, their uniform, & their official vehicle. These neighbors recognized these guys were suspicious and so can you:

As a constituent who donated and voted for him, Gallego can fuck all the way off. He will never get another vote or dime from me and I vocally oppose the rest of his (hopefully short) political career.

Tip for the cop watchers, this was outside the federal courthouse and social security office in downtown Phoenix. Especially since some of these ICE blackshirts terrorizing our community seem comfortable enough showing their tats or face.

Do you think your support of the Laken Riley act gave ICE cover to be so aggressive. 'Cause I sure do!

Beautiful… and we all need beautiful things to keep us fighting.
comment in response to

Sincere question: what does “fighting like hell” mean? What exactly are you DOING? It’s not visible to your constituents, so help us understand? We can’t support you if we don’t know what you’re doing.

Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas. You absolutely enabled this with your votes. If you’ve now realized your error, I’d like to hear you frankly acknowledge it.

I would vote for this all day long. Curious if you would make it mandatory so wealthy don’t opt out and make it an option of last resort (or perceived as such)?

Aaah i saw it this week standard fornat and very much wanted to see it again in imax - no shows available now. Hope they add more - definitely needs to be seen in the most immersive way possible!

I’m sure he’s really worried, given how you’ve stood firmly against him so far. Oh wait, I mean given him pretty much everything he’s asked for. These meaningless little videos of yours just add insult to injury.

I will never forgive my reps Kelly and Gallegos for their votes on theLaken Rikey act. And even less for how they still fail to meet the moment

I'm much less worried about paying my bills than I am about who's going to be disappeared next -- and why my elected representatives don't seem to understand the crisis we are in.

If your rep is:
Foxx (R-NC)
Fischbach (R-MN)
Norman (R-SC)
Roy (R-TX)
Houchin (R-IN)
Langworthy (R-NY)
Scott (R-GA)
Griffith (R-VA)
Jack (R-GA)
you are on the front lines whether you want to be or not, and the country needs you to get all your likeminded neighbors together at their offices

Not that any of these people deserve this treatment but goddamn Gallego couldn’t have been more offensively on the wrong side of history here, and at a moment when elected Dems should be shouting from the rooftops about these human rights abuses.

What are you going to do about it and how can we best help?
Social media is a two-way communication tool; you're aware you're allowed to reply to us and engage in actual conversations, right?
Or, you know, just keep... telling us the bad stuff we already know is bad? Idk man, tough call I guess.
