This is devastating to geosciences research at Princeton & in the US. CIMES alone runs the AOS program, with 8 current graduate students and 40 (!) postdoctoral researchers, plus engineers & HPC specialists. Really gutting the next generation of climate/ocean model expertise. Terribly dumb move.
