I was on Senate Floor in October 1991 when Congresswomen marched over to protest the handling of the Thomas nomination. In the next cycle, incumbents lost primaries and women Senators were elected. I encourage House Democrats to make a similar protest tomorrow. @aoc.bsky.social @raskin.house.gov

Chickenpox parties in the pre-vaccine era made some sense. The infection could be much worse if you got it as an adult, and it was seemingly inevitable so best to get it out of the way. But now we have vaccines, & measles has always been more deadly than chickenpox. "Parties" are Russian roulette.
