I can't help but feel we are rapidly approaching the point where attempts to disappear individuals, hold them indefinitely, and brutalize protesters is going to be met with retaliatory violence. The indicators are all there and the chance for wild, paradigm-changing clashes is growing.

We don’t need to back off the American Gestapo and we don’t need to respect its agents. People exercising state violence are not entitled to anonymity. Nor are the people directing the state violence.

i will never ever ever ever vote for andrew cuomo.

So fucking funny that in between these two events Musk used all his resources to get Trump re-elected. Man got played twice. And on the biggest stage.

There’s no one around to stop Trump from declaring martial law and suspending the Constitution or even an election. Published February 24, 2025: https://trib.al/hxjIxJa

Masked men with AR-15’s mounting suppressors to pick up cooks at a Mexican restaurant? This has nothing to do with detaining immigrants. It’s to terrorize us.

I’ll add this to my list of “Things that aren’t shocking.”

"Waste and fraud were just a cover story. Too many in the news media have enabled this con and even promoted it." Read @davidcorn.bsky.social on the media's role in helping Elon Musk's big con.

my takeaway from this feature is that in a functioning political system there would be televised congressional hearings over the fact that one of the most influential people in the white house is a total maniac www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Just as many suspected — @GovBillLee’s own company benefitted from the billion-dollar corporate tax handout Republicans (and Johnny Shaw) passed. Core Civic also. wpln.org/post/the-gov...

Americans have few ways to fight back against the oligarchs. The boycott is one of them. That’s why fascist Republicans — in the oligarchs’ pockets — are attacking our power to organize boycotts.

Almost by definition, stable democracies do not allow agents of the state to operate under cover of concealment. Either that characterization is wrong - or we are no longer a stable democracy. Today's Triad from @jvl.bsky.social: www.thebulwark.com/p/the-secret...

This, not ideology, is actually the biggest divider in the party. It’s people who hide under the desk vs people who will fight, and there’s way too many desk hiders.

I think top Democrats know it would be a winning issue to attack super-rich exploitation of the poor and middle class, but the Dems choose not to do so because they hope for some loose change from the super-rich.

It’s not alleged. Three separate legal investigations at the state and federal level found he did these things.

EX-BIDEN STATE DEPT. SPOKESMAN MATTHEW MILLER: “It is without a doubt true Israel has committed war crimes… we have not seen them hold soldiers accountable.” SKY NEWS: “You wouldn’t have said that at the podium.”

"For 142 years, the merit-based civil service survived because both parties recognized that functional government requires professional expertise. That consensus is dead. We're watching the transformation of public servants into party servants, of a government of laws into a government of loyalty."

FUN FACT: Lindsey Graham can't swim, but over half the male sex workers he hires can.

FBI agents are now visiting Charlottesville’s public defenders *at their homes*. It’s naked intimidation of our justice system.
