Oh my god... I did. Software/games been more performant doesn't mean that your old hardware is going to keep up with cutting edge graphics, it means it utilises hardware more efficiently. More powerful hardware is still going to push the boundaries forward for what graphics can achieve.

Well... Of course? Were you thinking that 10-year old hardware is going to stay at the cutting edge every year forever? Been "more performant" doesn't mean old hardware can magically perform the same as new hardware.

Jesus, who are all these people donating like 20-100 dollars/euros in his comment section? There really needs to be some pushback against his mis-information from reputable devs in the industry.

Hey so not sure if you're aware or not, but if you click/tap the three dots beside that video you can select "Don't recommend channel" and all of his content will stop showing up in your feed altogether.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at it today, are there any quick start docs or is it fairly straight forward?

Many of the problems are being or have been improved, the main issue is that games released today are from engine versions made like 2 years ago. UE5.0 released in 2022, UE5.5 only released this month. Since it takes years to develop a game we likely won't see the improvements until down the line.

This looks really useful, just purchased 🙏

Yes you and other consumers are right to point out the problems.

Devs won't typically upgrade engine versions in the middle of development as it can break the game. So all of the improvements UE5 has had recently won't manifest in released games until years down the track

I think an important thing you have to realise is that many of the issues you correctly raised have had significant improvements, but an issue is that UE5 games released today are from engine versions made years ago. UE5.0 was released 2 years ago, UE5.5 was only released this month.

This is outstanding for 2 weeks. Did you find that your experience in blender translated well to Unreal?
