Disposing of a few thousand tonnes of solid waste per year is no big deal. It beats having to deal with gigatonnes of CO2 being released into the atmosphere not to mention other forms of pollution that damage health. If the damage caused by fossil fuels is factored in nukes look like a bargain.

Price controls are a dumb idea. How to create shortages, black markets and empty supermarket shelves.

That is a good idea provided it's done honestly. It should also include genome scans.

You don't have to be a Marxist to understand the Fascist playbook. Many people who are not Marxists have made extensive studies of power dynamics in modern societies. But if a Marxist govt gained power what would/should it do?

Goggled "Frankfurt School" - had never heard of it. Read the Wikipedia version. OK, so the "masses" are gullible. We all are. Read Jonathan Haidt's theory of the elephant and the rider. Saw nothing on the Wikipedia page that could translate into an inspiring political platform.

Yep. They did not use the word "oligopoly" but that's what they meant. In some ways Das Kapital is remarkably prescient. What they missed is the power of modern public relations - ie propaganda. And of nationalism - another opiate of the masses.

Would I take medicines recommended by an AI Agent? Do you know how accurate your medical team's diagnoses are or how good their treatment plans. Do they bat .900 or .500? With an AI Agent I'd at least have it's "batting statistics."

I've read "The Wealth of Nations" & "Theory of Moral Sentiments". Industrialised economies are dominated by oligopolies so Smith's notion of "free markets" as interpreted by many contemporary economists no longer reflects reality if it ever did.
