The base is obviously the voters who turn out and do most of the volunteering and grunt work in primary campaigns. The biggest of these is probably AA females, but as a coalition based party it’s always been different than the GOP/MAGA. Mobilizing is always harder because we don’t move in lockstep

I don’t disagree, and I have a strong suspicion we will see a LOT of primaries in the Democratic Party this year because the base seems to have had enough of this nonsense. This issue is simple, will you fight, or will you wring your hands. My money is on team fight.

He’s not wrong. Obama’s election in 2008 electrified the youth vote, and it’s been slowly squandered by the gerontocracy clawing and clinging to electoral strategies that worked in the 1990’s. It’s time for the old guard to step aside, pronto.

I believe the issue here is forcing federal law enforcement to identify themselves as such. Failure to identify as such would be probable cause to assume they are not federal law enforcement and are therefore impersonating, which means the federalist argument would not apply.
