Atheism causes people?

You used the plural “books”. That sets you apart from all the major religions.

Thanks, I didn’t know that.

Considering RM have paid £10 million for a free player, I’d say we’ve had their pants down.

I feel very sorry for anyone who needs help from my experiences.

The £100 million prize money comes to mind. If they think Trent will help them win it, it makes sense.

Intentional isn’t the same as premeditated. It’s much harder to prove that he got in his car with the intention of doing the shit he did.

They will charge what they can prove. Without being able to prove he intended to kill anyone, it’s a difficult one.

I find staples work better on smaller birds 🤣

Please don’t politicise this while people are still suffering. Not everything is about you and your beliefs. The truth will out, but now is not the time.

By definition, those same men are the descendants of the victims of those rapists as well. Maybe, if they chose to follow in the footsteps of one, they should be forced to repeat the experience of the other.

Fuck off

Good for you. I do it as often as I feel it’s necessary. Like when people talk about using AI that steals other people’s work. That kind of thing. Any other irrelevant stuff you want to tell me about your moral code?
comment in response to post
Yes, an opinion that deserved the, “fuck off”, it received.

The joke was on the other foot? Journalistic standards are improving all the time, I see.

It isn’t that you have a different opinion. It’s that you have a stupid, anti-creative, dishonest opinion. If you use AI on your work, it’s no longer your work.

What if those people see books as a work of art? What if they see a shelf full of books and enjoy them without picking them up and reading the words? What if you stop belittling people for enjoying life instead of thinking your way is the only way?
comment in response to post
No, I knew what you meant. No need for the passive aggressive emoji. I did mean people who buy books to put on their shelves. Do you think writers and publishers would rather those people buy books or not? What make you think you have to right to judge anyone for how they spent their money?
comment in response to post
People who buy books and never read them prop up the publishing industry. Imagine if people only bought one book at a time and only bought what they read. Publishers would go out of business over night.

It saves having to find someone to do the zipper up at the back.

Anyway… it’s been nice talking but I’m off outside to enjoy this lovely weather we’re having.
comment in response to post
You might have a point. I still say the only difference would be that the people outside would be complaining about the heat/cold, whereas the people inside would be making the point that being trapped in the room means they’re not dealing with the heat/cold Equal probability.
comment in response to post
British people trapped in a room are just as likely to talk about the weather because they have nothing else deemed safe enough to discuss through fear of offending anyone.

Expectancy of the average Brit, adjusting for the chance of being murdered for saying “you could fry an egg on the pavement” or “it could freeze the balls off a brass monkey” too many times. That gives a fairly accurate calculation

They stuck a bunch of people in a room for a day. Then they worked out a weekly average. Adjusted for very hot or very cold spells where it’s the law to say things like, “you could fry an egg on the pavement” or “it could freeze the balls off a brass monkey”. Then they worked out the average life

So you commented just to make a semantic point?

Why would it change anything? He’s not saying anything that hasn’t been said by the Catholic Church for centuries

I don’t think Murdock has anything to do with GB news. I think it’s Sir Paul Marshall.
comment in response to post
Yeah? And? So what? He take no notice of the law or constitution.

I’m just taking a “believe when I see it” attitude.

The trouble is, it could have gone the other way. Imagine if the fans all supported Trent and Slot denied them the chance to say goodbye. It’s not his job to second guess the fans. I’m still annoyed that Rafa waited until the 86th minute to bring Sami Hyypia on in his last game.

I’m fairly certain that’s where you post links to these “stats”.

I just looked at your profile pic. Your head is about half a dozen squares away from a pic of me and my family. Pretty cool

Health falls lower in people’s list of priorities. Yes, there is a chunk of society that could do better, but your take that people are just lazy is entitled, short sighted and part of the problem.
comment in response to post
Add to that physical and mental health issues, lack of education, and a huge increase in advertising. I’m not saying any one of these things is to blame and I could add about two dozen more. But if people start to fall into more than one of these categories, it’s hardly surprising that physical

Since 1970 manual labour has given way to sedentary service jobs, processed food has increased, cost of living has forced families to send two people to work, social healthcare has been all but destroyed, prescription of drugs with weight gain side effects have increased massively.

Like I say, I’m wasting my time.
comment in response to post
I’m not arguing that people are getting fatter over time. I’m arguing that your “personal responsibility” argument is short sighted and entitled. Not everyone has your lifestyle. If you need that explaining to you, nothing I can say will make you understand.
