Their job includes upholding the Constitution. Deporting people with legitimate immigration proceedings not subject to removal orders is not that and any support of that aim - whether direct or ancillary - is not "just doing their jobs".

The only fist fight I ever had in my school days happened because I told a bully to leave another kid alone and the bully turned on me. After shoving me twice I took a swing at him when he went to shove me the 3rd time but he was easily 2x my size and knocked me out in 1 punch.
