You’re quite, quite wrong. I prefer not even to use the president-elect’s name. I just see no point in denying reality. He’s going to be the president, he has done this before so he has an idea of what types he wants (and doesn’t), and he has no one, essentially, to stand in his way. Reality.

Because yes there are three branches, but having one house of Congress is a lot different from having both houses.

Shelley, I don’t know where to begin with your comment. You know I know about branches of government, because I referenced them.
I don’t drink Koolaid. I believe I’m describing reality, whether I like it or not.
My values are intact. I’d try to know you a little better before questioning yours.

I don’t know how you hang onto this perch. His support went up pretty much everywhere, and 50 percent or not, his side holds all four branches of government. He could hardly be in a stronger position.
Baying at the moon is not going to change that.

This is pretty vile, Adam.
Do we really have to be like the other side?

This reminds me of this story about Reagan Education Secretary William Bennett, told by Reed Hundt on @joshtpm.bsky.social’s TPM Cafe: web.archive.org/web/20051223...
“he did not want public schools to obtain new funding, new capability, new tools for success. He wanted them, he said, to fail…”

Why do you think any of these hearings will be brutal? Truth has not yet mattered much to those in charge.

I’m not at all sure how boosting this signal would help. No details that might help someone find them. Willing to help.

Incredibly old news. IMO, not germane to where we are now.

That’s a thin line, IMO, but I stand corrected. Regalia it is.

Pretty hard to dress up a good-looking little kid in a costume and not have him be absolutely adorable, no?
