Ted Williams' 1953 season was insane. Out until August 6 due to the Korean War. Hits the ground running and goes 1-for-6 in seven games getting in shape. Three Ks. Then finishes the last 30 games 36-for-85 (.424) with 13 homers 33 RBI and 19 walks: .424/.524/.918 for a 1.440 OPS.

He has been unlucky overall and especially of late. His peripherals are top 30 overall atm. Expected wOBA (proxy for ERA) is eighth best this month. 28.8% Ks, 7.2% BBs. Eduardo Rodriguez, mostly unowned, is just ahead of him BTW but 23.9% Ks.
