Was DOGE about cost cutting or was it actually about cutting regulation and investigations into his companies?

It also guts the Affordable Care Act, so even more people will lose insurance

I’d be happy to go back to an era when we funded science and progress with government funds instead of SpaceX contracts. Hell, throw OpenAi, Palantir, and a lot of defense contractors in the trash bin while we’re at it.

This is how MAGA implodes. Musk is not popular

They’re both bad

Why does he not see that this puts them at risk? I wouldn’t want that kind of info on my phone. It makes me a target for burglary or worse.

Meanwhile small business owners are hosed. This is what corruption looks like.

This isn’t just bad for national security. It’s dangerous for her too.

I mean, WE elected these people. We chose people who clearly stood behind someone with no regard for rule of law. So I don’t think he’s wrong.

The smile at the end. What a ghoul.

Bro, they’ll buy you dinner and tell you you’re pretty. You’re a Senator and they want to curry favor. The reality of tariffs is pretty clear cut and it’s not good.

I call one of my reps almost daily with actual repercussions of DOGE. Just the other day, he said that Congress was handing “the keys” to the executive branch. Maybe more people need to call because this is bad. Tariffs too.

That’s poetic.

My husband has a construction company. Unpredictable tariffs make bidding jobs difficult, because you can bid a job at a certain number, only to see your costs go up. This is a microcosm of the market. Trump and Musk are unpredictable and the markets don’t like unpredictability.

Also don’t forget. He needs those agencies to quit investigating his companies for shady shit.

It’s too late. The damage is done.

They want to privatize all of it. :(

Who gives a shit? It’s just political theater. The point is that they’re not just leaning over and kissing the ring. Until we vote Republicans out, there isn’t much they can do.

Exactly.

Farmers also signed contracts with the government only to see them rescinded. So it has downstream effects beyond contractors too. Small farms are hard enough to run already.

What, if your neighbor gets robbed and you help them, you don’t demand half of the remaining goods as a thank you? It was like a bully shaking down a kid for his lunch money. Pathetic.

Ted Cruz manages to embarrass Texas every time he opens his mouth.

I wish it was just about supporting small businesses. They shouldn’t have to suffer because Trump sucks. I am trying to avoid spending money at all big vendors, all the time

All of those cities have cheaper housing than DC. Can’t speak for the others but Minneapolis is nice. He lives in a fiction in his mind

Stephen Miller has probably eaten a hidden loogie in every DC restaurant meal for the past ten years. What a ghoul

Yup. I know conservatives who blame Obama for “dividing our nation.” I never understood it, but it’s clear that the very idea of a Black leader was threatening to them. Some people feel the same way about women leading too. They’ll use any excuse to claim a woman isn’t qualified

This is incredibly dangerous for newborns. :(

Thank you. My friend is pregnant here in Texas and is full of rage. Women shouldn’t be afraid for their unvaccinated newborns. These were solved problems before pendejos like RFK jr. decided to spread misinformation!
