It's the science vs lunatics media problem, need 'balance' so a mainstream scientist is balanced by a village idiot with a strong opinion.

Cruel and loyal seems to be the only qualification.

The Israeli military appear to be using the promise of aid as the cheese on their mousetrap.

Just like that. Good riddance.

They've desensitised people to their violence and diluted the media so much that this will be lost and likely be forgotten in a weeks time..

Really? We're in the top third, on accident stats at least..

That was eye opening and well written.

US borders technically include international airports. ICE can operate with impunity in almost every major city in the US.

From a practical perspective somewhere on the East Coast would be preferable, more sheltered, less exposed to bad weather. From a permanent infrastructure point of view, Moneypoint wins out imo.

No, true. But nuclear is only illegal here because of Irish law, not EU.

We built Ardnacrusha in something like 3-4 years. We need to get someone in who has built nuclear recently (South Korea for example), with a fixed price contract, brownfield site with power and port facilities like Moneypoint and pass a ministerial order/govt dept to make sure it can be done.

The almost 50% believing that everyone should be killed in Palestinian cities is absolutely abhorrent. Who can think that and consider themselves good, decent or right?

So did the Nazis

Both things can be wrong. Shooting innocent people, of any creed, colour or race is very bad. Bombing and starving hundreds of thousands of people, using children for target practice, enforcing a man made famine is reprehensible.

And yet people will buy them instead of a fascistmobile.. Maybe there is something wrong with Tesla aside from the technology?

Solar may line someone's pockets but at an overall loss to the area its in. I'm not against solar, but I'm absolutely against taking top quality, food producing land out of circulation. There is plenty of marginal land in the country that could be used instead.

John is vehemently anti dairy, so anything that reduces it seems to be a win in his book. Dairy underpins a significant part of the rural Irish economy, providing many direct and secondary jobs in our non tourist regions.

Technically, yes. Semites being any people of any religion from that region - the Israeli government is intensely antisemitic.

Any international obligations on the Gardai or customs to intervene? Rulings by the ICC or the likes?

Prove it - in a court of law, with a competent defense.

So China and Trump get to say they did a deal, meanwhile damage to the US economy is baked in due to supply delays and interruptions, no manufacturing returns to the US, whose standing is now damaged globally. China couldn't damage the US as effectively if it tried!

If Trump was in charge in the 1940's he'd leave the Imperial Japanese to work away taking over Asia.

Great to see the US has caught up with other leading countries such as North Korea, East Germany, Stalin's Russia and the likes.

To be used against peaceful protesters in years to come, much like how peaceful protesters are being kicked out of colleges for their views, under the guise of antisemitism.

Apple, Amazon, Facebook etc will weather this storm. Make no mistake, this is an attack on the working and middle class to benefit the billionare oligarchs, the Musks, Bezos and Zuckerbergs. If they lose 20% of their wealth they are still billionares. If mom and pop lose 20% they are bankrupt.

Thousands of vehicles in dealers, older vehicles never scrapped or crossed off the books.. In other words those older numbers weren't worth the paper they are written on, just a rough guess.

I'd love to know how they calculated the numbers of uninsured vehicles in the past? Estimates? Crude measurements 'one in ten stopped at checkpoints' etc., how else would they know?
